  • 20 Main St Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham
I am a resident at 20 Main st. The majority of the night time road work on the sewers is taking place directly infront of my house. I understand that this is needed and the roads can't be worked on during the day, I just want to voice what we have been having to deal with every single work night for the entire summer. This isn't just some noise you can easily ignore. It's extremly loud, and the work they are doing shakes our entire house at times. I haven't slept on a work night in weeks. Literally. I have an 11 month old child that gets woken up and scared by the noises. It's just unbearable. We also have cones and large bumps at the end of our driveway, and a hose connected to our house, and construction workers walking through our yard to connect and disconnect the hose. This just is not right. Also there has been black sediment in the bottom of my sons tub every night, which I called and spoke to someone about and got no response.I feel as though the residents having to deal with this should be getting some sort of tax break, or at least payment to stay in a hotel if we choose. This is our home and I dread going to bed 5 nights per week. Please try to understand. Thanks

I am not sure to whom I should address this request, and I would appreciate knowing if I should be contacting someone else.

I would like for someone to install a collar or shield on the street light in front of our house. Since replacing the bulb with LEDs, the bright light leaks into our house at night, even though we have room-darkening blinds and even though we are set back from the road. I think that the light head is angled down in such a way that it shines towards our house as well as on to the street. I know other cities and towns have done this for residents, and I’m hoping that Framingham can do it as well.

It’s good to see that the Town is looking for ways to save money, including installing LED streetlights throughout Framingham. In fact, I have just recently replaced most of my incandescent bulbs in my own house to LED’s, so I know the benefits they offer. I also understand that many Police Departments prefer LED’s because they offer truer color fidelity and assist in identifying cars and suspects at night. However, there is also a quality of life and nuisance aspect to these new lights that must not be ignored. I am sure that with a collar or shield, all needs can be accommodated.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

160 Hollis Street Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham
    This roadway is deteriorating rapidly.
It is becoming a significant hazard to bicycles and is encroaching on the road itself.
The driveway is heavily used by local businesses and residents
  • Concord And School Street Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham
Can you make the red right arrow flash instead of being solid or make it a yellow right arrow? For some reason, people don't know what to do when they come to a red right arrow. They don't know they can turn right on red if it's safe to do so. They sit there and wait, thinking it's going to change to a green right arrow. This is causing a terrible traffic bottleneck, even worse than it was before the beautiful new street lights went in. Everyday cars get backed up the full length of Hamilton Street to Old Conn. Path and nearly the full length of School Street. Drivers become impatient and irritable dealing with this, when all they want to do is get home after work.
  • 464 Waverly Street Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham
Several spots in the lot are not labeled on the pavement, including for example spots ~4-7 and ~31 or so. Also, what happens when it snows? I don't think any of the spots are labeled above ground - is payment expected when snow covers the numbers on the ground?
  • 861 Edgell Road Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham
Dropped in for a coffee & donut @ Honey Dew Donuts @ what we believe is 861 Edgell Road. The donut shop was in a plaza named, "Village @ Nobscot." Always believe that when food is being sold, must have restrooms available. This facility closed the restrooms for everyone including paying customers. When approach about this the clerk said she could not let us use the restroom & we would have to take it up with the boss. We ask to speak with the boss & she said he/she wasn't there. Told them we would be speaking with the Health Department to clarify the matter. Could you please advise whether or not this is a law? If so, this Honey Dew should be made to comply. This is the first Honey Dew that I have encountered this problem. Could you please respond to Would appreciate it, especially if I am mistaken regarding the law in this matter. Thank you again for your consideration in this matter.

  • Water And Central St Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham
With the recent construction on Water St, the current lines where it meets Central St have created some interesting situations. People turning from Central right onto Water have thought they have two lanes on Water, creating a "middle lane" on Water. People turning from Water left onto Central have also formed two lanes due to there being two traffic lights side by side, also forming a "middle lane" but in the opposite direction. I have witnessed the potential for head-on collisions a few times. Could the lines on Water be painted more clearly? (Additionally, during the Central St bridge construction, it may be advisable to cover the traffic light on the right.)
  • 147 Danforth Street (Or Nearby) Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham
The owner of this car consistently parks on the sidewalk, which blocks safe access for pedestrians. I have recently joined this site to report this issue that has been going on for at least a year. The only time this car wasn't parked on the sidewalk in this exact location was during the recent street repaving. License Plate: 7063KN (MA)
