Notified About

  • Kalamazoo And Shepard Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
Doesn't change when you are waiting. It is common enough (although not always) that when you are on Shepard, both northbound and southbound, and arrive at this light, the little white walking man changes to the red flashing hand and then back to the little white walking man without the signal changing. Last weekend, I saw someone waiting and finally they drove across on the red (going S to N on Shepard) after this happened. Many times I have decided to make a turn onto Kalamazoo and go up one block after this happened to me. What's up with the signal box? It is routine to have a 40+ second wait for the light to change--even when there is NO traffic on Kalamazoo.
  • 2529 East Mount Hope Avenue Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan - Lansing
    E. Mt. Hope from near the 127 viaduct, going west to past Aurelius. Bad potholes on both east and west routes of Mt. Hope. There is going to be an accident from people trying to dodge them, or driving down the middle lane trying to avoid them.
  • Kalamazoo Street Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
The Kalamazoo bike lane (as I imagine are all the bike lanes and shoulders within the City) is extremely dangerous right now. It is filled with a thick accumulation of dirt, glass, and other debris (see photo). The bottom of the downhill eastbound stretch right in front of Hunter Park is especially dangerous as it has collected all the debris from the street over the entire winter. Riding over that stretch at higher speeds from going downhill is extremely hazardous, especially because the parallel roadway right through there is laden with deep pot holes. Scary combination, especially if are not aware of the hazard before descending down the hill. I notified the traffic department about this problem area almost a month ago. Hopefully you can get out there to have it cleaned up right away. With today as the first day of Bike Month, it certainly would be appropriate and appreciated to sweep all the bike lanes/shoulders throughout the City. Thanks for looking into this.
  • 1300-1306 Jerome Street Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
If Jerome is going to be promoted as the recommended bike route parrallel to Michigan Ave. (which it has been and is by many bicyclists and advocates in the area as it is a nice, quiet route through a lovely neighborhood) then this needs a safer, better engineered solution to allow bicyclists to pass through than the current circus tricks one has to do to travel down Jerome.
  • Princeton Ave Lansing, MI - Lansing
Despite what our state government thinks, Lansing needs a ban on unsafe, fire starting, exploding noisy fireworks. Done.
  • 100 East Michigan Avenue Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
many many cars are failing to stop at the stop signs just before the round about at michigan ave and washington square in downtown lansing.. i have almost been hit many times, and even asked a lansing police officer what could be done and he replied snottly,, "you need to take it up with the city"... can someone please do something to get them to all stop before someone gets hurt or killed here??
  • 1624 James St Lansing, MI - Lansing
Filthy mattress thrown into yard with other furniture. The mess gets worse daily. It appears that someone is living on the front porch. Many adults and one small female toddler living in filthy conditions. Bushes in front of house have grown to height of 12 foot. How long is the neighborhood expected to put up with a rental in this condition? This has been going on for 2 years. Please condemn this house.
  • 1210-1298 Mechanic Street Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
The Holmes Street School has many broken windows and seems to be abandoned. It is the only former school in Lansing that is in this condition, it is a beautiful building, that is becoming an eyesore.
  • Other Open
314 W Huron Street Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
This house is a rental and has been a blight on this neighborhood for quite some time. October 12th there was a drug raid with 10-12 LPD squad cars, guns drawn, children called out, house searched and a dog shut in the basement that is still there. This house is a nuisance house and the landlord should be fined and, at the very least, the house should be sold.
  • 411 W Madison St Lansing Charter Township, MI 48906, USA - Lansing
300 block of Madison between Seymour & Walnut, 50' section is impassable.
  • 3400 Inverary Lansing, MI - Lansing
Can there not be some manner of device permanent or temporary to slow traffic on Inverary. Each day I witness 20 to 30 cars clearly exceeding a safe neighborhood speed. From the intersections of Norwich to the east to Glasgow at the west there is not a single traffic control device or sign.
Recently on a neighboring street, (Brisbane) the city placed the trailer mounted speed device, but placed it within 200 ft. of a stop sign. (a speed control device on its own) now how effective is that. Bring it, and a stop sign to my street before a neighborhood child is hurt or killed.
  • 100 198 W Saginaw St Lansing, MI 48933, USA - Lansing
This intersection is a popular crossing point for Lansing Community College students and many other citizens, but there is no defined crosswalk.
There should be a crosswalk connecting the northwest corner across Saginaw because traffic coming out of Washington onto Saginaw has to turn left (ideally, away from the crosswalk).
