Notified About

  • 701-789 Minnesota Street San Francisco, CA 94107, USA - Potrero Hill
The furniture warehouse company leaves their trash, garbage, broken glass, broken furniture, etc all over the sidewalk after they stop working. Today a piece of glass cut my foot (I was wearing sandals). They constantly leave their trash everywhere and don't follow up on cleaning after themselves.

  • 714 Rhode Island Street San Francisco, CA 94107, USA - Potrero Hill
SIDEWALK BLOCKING: Maybe permitted (200911302208?), but should not have been! Almost complete blockage of sidewalk, so owner could privatize sidewalk and create level parking spot for himself on a steep hillside. This prevents wheelchairs from using it, and forces pedestrians into the street. They should have to tear it down and restore sidewalk to uniform condition.

  • 918 Newhall St San Francisco, CA - Bayview
An apparently homeless family has been living out of a maroon Honda (with white racing stripe) on Newhall between Jerrold and Kirkwood. The kids are very small, 0-6mo. and ~2 years. I have seen the father more than the mother and feel badly for them, of course, but the father is rather sketchy in his appearance and how he looks around at people in the neighborhood. He also left a gallon container of used car oil uncapped just out on the curb after changing the oil on a car in the street (Newhall), presumably for some money. It would be nice if they kids were checked up on but really I would like to just have the family and the car checked occasionally because as a resident of the block (around the corner from where they are staying) I'm not interested in welcoming more sketchy characters in to the neighborhood.
**Update (10/15/11)- the kids and the mom are presumably gone. The car must've been towed but homeboy is still sketcherific. Still doing illegal mechanic work but not with the same frequency. There are several containers of uncapped used motor oil to be found at the NW corner of Kirkwood and Newhall right now. Yesterday he was riding a bike down Kirkwood and stole someone's rolling Recology bin.
  • 740 Illinois St San Francisco, CA 94107, USA - Potrero Hill
The deep ruts between the abandoned embedded rail track and the road surface cause a major bike safety problem. The bike tires get caught in the rut causing the rider to loose control. This particular spot is bad due to the bike lane being closed during building construction. The entire length of Illinois st has abandoned track with deep ruts. You don't need to go as far as ripping out the track, just put black top in the rut to even it out with the road surface. Many riders have gone down, including myself trying to cross these tracks while riding parallel.
  • STOP!!! Open
Maddux Ave San Francisco, California - Bayview
Stop signs are desperately needed for this intersection. Cars traveling on Maddux speed up and down the hill making it dangerous for any vehicles traveling on Quint and Revere streets.
  • 700-778 Pennsylvania Avenue San Francisco, CA 94107, USA - Potrero Hill
The sidewalk simply ends here and doesn't pick up again for a hundred feet or so. There's plenty of space for one. This is a high foot traffic area in the morning and evening commute hours. When it rains, it becomes a muddy puddled mess, forcing pedestrians to walk on the outside of the parked cars in Pennsylvania Street traffic.
  • 1651 Kirkwood Ave San Francisco, CA 94124, USA - Bayview
In front of construction/boarded up building at 1652/1654 Kirkwood Ave. There is an uncovered bucket of used auto oil sitting out on sidewalk abandoned.

  • 1300-1398 Lane St San Francisco, CA 94124, USA - Bayview
Several trucks are regularly parked on Lane Street between Newcomb Avenue and Oakdale. Routinely, these pick-up trucks, vans, and graffiti covered trucks are used to dump old refrigerators, televisions, and computers etc. Often these items are fall off the trucks or are smashed on the sidewalk. In addition, a school playground is located right in front of this location. It is an incredible eyesoar.
