hard to cross High St. Archived1 Joyce Road Waltham, Massachusetts - Waltham
Dear Waltham, my family and I use the Cherry St / Hamblin/ High St intersection often. it is very wide and hard to cross safely. We often walk into the Cemetery at the bus stop location, but there is no crosswalk. This cuts off a convenient family route to get to the river. There is a crosswalk further to the east, but it is less direct, has no curb cuts and is frequently blocked by liquor store parking.
Are there any plans to improve this big intersection to make it more pedestrian friendly? Is Newton involved as well (is it on the Newton or Waltham side of the line)?
Thanks so much.

(pothole) A monster one! ArchivedWhen on Trapelo driving towards Waltham, there is a monster pot hole on the right when driving through the light at Rt 60. At night you can't see it coming and it's so deep that it bent my rim and made my tire flat. I hit it a week ago, the next day they filled it with sand. Since this week's storm it's exposed again. Watch out!!!

As you drive down Winter St and round the resevoir, right on the curve are a series of potholes that have not been fixed (close to the entrance of Astra Zenica. Why fix some and not all?
