  • Illegal Dumping Acknowledged
1936 Hearst Ave Berkeley 94709, United States - Berkeley
Growing trash heap and encampment on verge of Hearst between Milvia and Bonita, just outside Ohlone Park playground. Items are now spilling into the street.
  • 1396 Berkeley Way Berkeley, CA 94702, USA - Berkeley
For years, AT&T technicians have been leaving their debris behind at over 20 telecommunications terminals (the green boxes) in Berkeley, littering the public easements and the street gutters leading to the Bay. The Mayor, all City Council Members, the City Manager, and AT&T Corporate officials have been aware of this problem for the last 7 months but have failed in their efforts to stop it. Please join your neighbors by sending a clear signal to city hall that we will not tolerate this continued littering in our city. This is Councilmember Linda Maio's district, lmaio@cityofberkeley.info, (510) 981-7110. Please contact her and voice your concern. Please also join us by visiting Facebook and Change.org and searching: STOP ATT LITTER
  • vagrants Archived
3370 Adeline Street Berkeley, CA - North Oakland
1 or more vagrants constantly hanging around the businesses, begging & using the sidewalk as a bathroom.
  • King St And Ashby Ave Berkeley, CA - South Berkeley

When Caltrans repaved the intersection at Ashby and King St in South Berkeley (very nice, thank you) they neglected to repaint one of the yellow crosswalk lines at the south side of this intersection, and the traffic signal loop detector bicycle stencils which were half covered up by the paving work.

Regardless of who ends up performing this work please make sure Caltrans is charged for it, since they should have taken care of it initially after completing their paving work.

  • Illegal Dumping Acknowledged
3325–3347 Martin Luther King Jr Way Berkeley 94703, United States - North Oakland
More dumping at 62nd and Martin Luther King next to the BART tracks. Queen size foam mattress, bagged and unbagged garbage, suitcase. Definitely abandoned. Please put up no dumping signs and install a camera here.
  • Graffiti Archived
901-929 Harrison St Berkeley, CA 94710, USA - Berkeley
    Graffiti all over walls.
  • Bay St Berkeley, CA, 94710, USA - Berkeley
The homeless encampment tents have moved off the railroad track back onto the freeway off ramp at Shellmound Avenue, and garbage from the site is scattered everywhere on that corner now. Is it possible to get everything cleared up and prevent the tents from moving back and forth from corner to corner in the area? Also, some vehicles that get off the ramp often stop by the tents, making it unsafe for other motorists exiting the freeway. I know that homeless encampments are a big discussion point for bay area city leaders but until they figure out how to best handle the situation, as a resident in the area, it is very frustrating to see these rent encampments and related issues that come with them constantly recurring in the neighborhood.
  • Other Acknowledged
West Street Berkeley, CA 94702, USA - Berkeley
Expanding homeless encampment - now up to two tents holding an unknown number of persons. Material dumped at table along side of West Street Path. Again, no signs of proper human waste disposal facilities. Should they be camping here given that this is city space and is also an abandoned contaminated railroad right-of-wAy?
  • 2617 Le Conte Ave Berkeley California - Berkeley
The owner of 2617 Le Conte Avenue keeps her yard-debris cart in the street on a permanent basis, using it as a traffic barrier. She was repeatedly advised that the BMC forbids it, yet she has been persisting in this behavior for many months, beginning last year. The photo was taken this morning, Wednesday, 14 March 2018.
  • West Street Berkeley, CA 94702, USA - Berkeley
Trash filled tent spilling onto greenway. Has been a problem since December.
  • Russell St And King St Berkeley, California - South Berkeley

Ever since the recent paving work the sewer covers on Russell St just east and west of King St have been rather recessed, such that any bicycle rider who travels over them unexpectedly gets a big jolt and might possibly lose control.

This is issue was reported previously and marked "closed" by the city but remains a problem. Please take another look at these sewer covers and soften the transition area all around them significantly, so that the surface remains smooth and safe to traverse by all modes. Thank you in advance for your attention.

  • Claremont Ave & Ashby Ave Berkeley, CA 94705, USA - Berkeley
The Ashby intersection at Claremont is dangerous to make left turns at and leads to unnecessary congestion on Ashby during peak hours. It'd be better and safer if there were dedicated Left Turn lanes and better still if there were a left turn signal.
