  • Phipps Street And Faxon Park Road Quincy, MA - Quincy
As I was walking my dog out of the park, some small children were in front of me, about twenty feet away. They almost got hit by a commercial van that did not stop for pedestrians in the crosswalk. This location has cars going way above the speed limit. Sometimes I wait 10 minutes for cars to stop for me. Often times I am halfway across the crosswalk with cars coming at me full force. I would hope the city would care to do something before someone gets killed.

What is with that ridiculous cross signal in front of 1250 Hancock?? When the countdown timer starts it lets the cars go, which creates confusion. Drivers yelling at pedestrians and pedestrians yelling at drivers and people almost getting hit. Quincy, the city where a lot of pedestrians have been hit in the past few years, is NOT a place for experimental traffic lights!

This location is to demonstrate what The City of Quincy can do to eliminate costly sign posting vandalizm and tamering. The Walgreens Store at this location has a shroud about the base of the sign post preventing access to the nuts and bolts that connect the upper sign post to the embedded base. Over the years of my residency here in Quincy I have seen numerous instances of sign post having been tampered with throughout the City. If the City were to look into this shroud at this location on the Stop Sign on the Walgreen property it will find perhaps a perfect solution, modifiable, for City Signage Security and Protection, and, Cost Reduction purposes. Please pass this on to those who may be frustrated by the numerous incidences of vandalizm of sign posts and I feel confident that the tax payers and those who rely on signage for a safe and fluid journey in, about and through Quincy will be glad you did. Thank you for hepling me help the City of Quincy become a better place to live, work and play!

Now a large pothole in the middle of the street. While its not a heavy traveled side street almost everyone hits this pothole. Because the pothole is placed where gas lines were worked on, houses can actually feel the ground shake when cars drive over it.

Traffic enforcement for pedestrian crossing as well as repainting is needed.
  • 828 Sea St Quincy, MA 02169, USA - Quincy
Water main replacement work was done two months ago. The patches on Sea Street are bad enough that they are starting to create significant wear on my car's suspension system. The work done was sub-standard and entirely unacceptable for a major emergency route in and out of the area.

Overgrown grass , trash and worst- parking on the lawn! A once well taken care of property now quickly an eyesore.
  • 295-299r Hancock St Quincy, MA 02171, USA - Quincy
Dangerous intersection for those leaving the T lot - especially during rush hour. Traffic traveling on Hancock consistently runs Red Light at N. Quincy MBTA parking lot (in front of Dangelos) or blocks parking lot exit. Quincy cop or traffic cameras needed. A
  • Washington St Quincy, MA - Quincy
There is always a lot of garbage on the ground here, from the corner of Washington St and McGrath Hwy, going Eastbound, and around the corner to Bigelow St. Maybe it would help to have a garbage can on the corner, where the bus stop is, since people are always standing around. (It seems like there is way less litter at the Foster St stop up the hill, which has a garbage can and much more activity/people waiting for the bus.)
The area on Bigelow St between the corner and past the High Grade Skate Shop is rife with litter and garbage, including household trash and cigarette butts. Does the City ever send workers to clean things like this up? It is absolutely disgusting.
Also, this area on the corner of Washington/Bigelow always has shopping carts. The number of carts has increased in recent months, and the carts are not always the same (different stores, etc.), so it is an ongoing issue.

Hello, this is a sensitive topic for us and many others but my family and I do not like living in terror and continue to get harassed by people in our neighborhood.
We just don't know what to do!
We see adults and kids hanging out on our fence and in our property. They also throwing trash like nips, or food or pour soda on our front lawn, calling us racist names (which I will not mention), stealing our holiday decorations and our deliveries (I'm 100% sure because i saw them steal it and I had to chase them down for it).
We are fairly new and greeted everyone we see. We respect everyone's space and area and do what we have to do to keep our area clean for the community.

We are at a loss and if anyone can help with any advice, or help, it would be very much appreciated.
I hate to see my younger siblings feeling scared to play outside just because of older kids kicking around our property. We all work all the time and almost never home. We witness different encounters of these harassment. And people who do that to us, think it's funny to call us racist names. It's just so disrespectful.

  • Littering issue Acknowledged
178 Washington Street Quincy, Massachusetts - Quincy
Hi! I have reported this before and this issue has not been acknowledged!
We just moved into our home about a year ago and people still who go to the liquor store and the tedeshis down the street come here and throw their trash on our front and side lawn.
We NEED a trash bin and sign by our pole near our place so people can throw it in the trash.
People shouldn't be littering on someone else's property. I see adults and kids coming from school throwing it on our yard. They should be fined for littering. We have confronted a few kids and adults that they can't just walk their dog over to do their business and throw trash there. They just don't care.

It looks like they built a roof deck visible from the street. Is that up to code?
