My Beaver Hills

Although the city keeps informing people that the emergency snow removal is completed, the Beaver Hills neighborhood has not seen a plow since a week ago Monday! Osborn Ave., Goffe St., and many others still have only one lane plowed and it is dangerous to drive on these roads. Some cars were parked in the cleared lane on Osborn Ave. yesterday, making it almost impossible to get by. Please do not tell us the work has been completed. Public Works: drive through this neighborhood and see for yourselves.

Don't mind being neighborly as its hard to park an 18 wheeler when your home from the road for a few days, but this 18 trailer is becoming a permanent fixture here- is this a parking violation?

Doesn't seem like they have bulk trash scheduled. Trash has been laying in front of house for over week. Now its spilling off the sidewalk and onto street.

Can the city a public trash bin at the public bus stop on Ella T. Grasso Blvd. and Goffe Terrace?

I don't know the exact address but wanted to know what is legal and what is not legal.

There is a small church in this section of Whalley that has out door sermons and concerts with speakers and all. Sometimes they put their speakers on the sidewalk while they have their sermons inside. I am Christian and even *I* find this incredibly disrespectful. If I lived in that block I would be livid. But even as a passer-by this is bothersome.

Its one thing to invite people inside and listen but to force others to listen to sermons and concerts is a bit much!

Is this even legal? What can be done about this?

"RIP K*nt" spray painted in road. Let's all join together and mourn the passing of this wonderful gang member. I am sure he was a lovely person, a good person, a dear person.

Pedestrian traffic signals are a real pain in New Haven, especially on Whalley Ave, because a walker has to wait through at least two light changes to get the "walk" signal, and the "don't walk" signal prevents the pedestrian from going with the green light. Drivers know this, and they will run over any pedestrian crossing with the green light. I used to walk to work from Ellsworth to York and back, but it took forever because of having to wait several minutes at each light. These "walk/don't walk signals are helpful for disabled pedestrians but are an obstruction to the ordinary walker. "Pedestrians should always have the right to cross on green.
