Route 10 in New Haven

  • 134 Pendleton St New Haven, Connecticut - Edgewood
The light at the end of Pendleton has stayed red even when cars have waited for several minutes. Someone had to get out of their car and hit the walk signal in order for it to turn.
  • Ella Grasso Boulevard New Haven, CT 06511 - West River
All of the intersections on the Ella Grasso Blvd from Frontage Road to Whalley should have road markings and signs to indicate that the right side is for a right turn or to go straight and the left side is for left turn only. Technically it is a one lane street but since it widens at the intersections it just becomes a free-for-all. No one knows where to be (except for those that just like to squeeze past everyone to be first off the line). This would alleviate a lot of road rage in the area and make it safer for pedestrians!
  • Big, deep pothole, looks like it could swallow a bike tire, in the right turn lane on Wintergreen approaching Fitch. Just after the lanes split into left and right turn lanes.
  • 48 Howard Avenue New Haven, CT - City Point
Huge dead Elm tree on Howard Avenue between sidewalk and street threatens to split and/or drop limbs, endangering multiple homes and auto/pedestrian traffic near marina and Sound School
  • 295 Blake Street New Haven, CT 06515, USA - Beaver Hills
Signal for Fitch Street motorists is too short. Traffic queues are unacceptable. Let's fix the lights throughout the city THEN continue the conversation about traffic calming. Triage before bandaid.
  • 291-295 Blake Street New Haven, Connecticut - Beaver Hills
The light at Fitch / Blake for the drivers the drivers traveling on Fitch is way too long. The light also does not change for the Fitch Street riders even when there aren't any cars on Blake.
  • 671-695 Ella T Grasso Blvd New Haven, CT 06519, USA - West River
Signal not operating properly. The lights are staying red too long and sometimes the turn signal doesn't operate.
  • Ella T Grasso Blvd New Haven, Connecticut - Hill
    Bulldozers have destroyed bike path
  • Whalley Ave And Jewel St. New Haven, CT - Beaver Hills

The Whalley Avenue sidewalk in front of Bnai Jacob cemetery is impassable forcing pedestrians to walk dangerously in the street.. The rest of Westville cemetery's Whalley sidewalk has been plowed, thank you!

The corners of Whalley and jewel and Whalley and Fitch are impassable as is the sidewalk in front of 781 Whalley (formerly Community Action Agency) forcing pedestrians into very highly trafficked Whalley Ave.

  • 200 Ct-34 New Haven, CT 06511, USA - New Haven - Ward 03
    lights out. call placed.
  • 1646 Chapel St New Haven, CT 06511, USA - West River
lights out. no police directing traffic
  • 609-639 Ella T Grasso Boulevard New Haven, Connecticut - Hill
Garbage everywhere on east side of Ella Grasso Blvd.
Looks like multiple bags of garbage broke open and ended up stuck to the fence, along the cemetery.
Ella Grasso must be spinning in her grave, having a garbage dump named after her. Also, would it kill the city - because it's certainly going to kill a pedestrian, to put a sidewalk along the entire length of the Boulevard?
