150 Cambridge Park Drive Cambridge, Massachusetts - North Cambridge

    Hello,

I'm writing this to share my true ire towards what you have let happen on Cambridge Park Drive. The city has continued to allow massive buildings and apartment complexes to be built on this road fully knowing there is only ONE way to get out of that road and also know that the ONE way to get out of that road is a true and utter disaster to say the least. What you have done here is create a situation that is unsafe and is legitimately ruining peoples lives. I work at 150 Cambridge Park drive and I have to park in the parking garage that is now there. It has consistently been taking me 45 minutes to get out of my parking garage and to the lights at the Summer Shack. Honestly, you had to see that coming and you should be ashamed of yourselves that you knowingly allowed all of this building to continue knowing full well that it was going to be more than a nightmare to all of us that work or live down in this area. I already have a 45 minute commute as is, so I don't appreciate the fact that it's taking me 45 minutes just to go 1/10 of a mile to get to the intersection where it then takes me another 45 minutes to get home. I'm utterly disappointed and disgusted with the judgement and decisions the city of Cambridge made. The outcome is that you've basically ruined our work weeks even more and we really don't appreciate it. And that's not to mention that you've caused a severe emergency and fire hazard because if there was anything bad to happen between 430-7pm on weekedays, it would be nearly impossible for emergency personel to get in and especially out of Cambridge Park drive. I know whoever reading this is unlikely to be the decision maker for all of this, but please pass on my severe frustrations and disappointment to the group that did make these decisions. I sure their commutes aren't nearly doubled because of the decisions they've made.

There is never enough parking in front of Lamplighter or Longfellows. Could you please add a rack or better yet, a whole bike corral!

    Thank you!

Someone's saving parking spots with orange cones
  • 48 Harvey St Cambridge, Massachusetts - North Cambridge
a dumpster is on Harvey St, across the street from us. There was a permit that went until mid- JUne. THE DUMPSTER IS STILL THERE! taking up two parking spaces and making a home for rats (yes, I have seen them). Workers are filling it up from pick up trucks- I assume form other jobs at other addresses. Thank You for your time
  • 86 Kinnaird St Cambridge, MA, 02139, USA - Riverside
This large bus has been parked on Kinnaird near Bay St. since the last street cleaning, taking up multiple spots. Is there a rule against oversized vehicles parking in a resident permit zone?
  • 35 Cambridgepark Dr - North Cambridge
I called this vehicle in to the non emergency police line over an hour ago. I don’t think this building management or Cambridge is taking the continued illegal parking here seriously. 2 hours later, there are now 3 vehicles parked illegally. They must think the cones mean special contractor parking.
  • 142 Hampshire St Cambridge, Massachusetts - Cambridge

Multiple cars are parked over 2' away from the curb and obstructing the bike lane here. I've posted a picture of the first car I came across, there was at least one or two more further down the street as well.

This kind of terrible parking might be begrudgingly acceptable during a snow storm, or maybe up to a day after a storm, but almost two weeks after a storm? No, not even close to ok. This car needs to be ticketed and towed for obstructing the right of way.

There’s no city parking, handicap on this whole street! Then you can’t park at danehy park or fresh pond because of the fear getting towed at night.

Can we please get some resident (City of Cambridge) signs up or parking at danehy overnight?

I’m a elderly woman who can’t walk far looking for parking all the time.

    Appreciated

    Thank you!

  • 8 Beech St Cambridge, MA 02140, USA - North Cambridge

Both sides of Beech Street, between Massachusetts Avenue and Orchard Street, are posted no parking for construction for the entire period December 14 - January 14, Monday-Friday, 7 am-3:30 pm. The contractor is "Riley Bros".

There was no construction activity yesterday, and so far none today, on any part of this street (aside from building construction that has been ongoing at one address for the past 18 months, and is unrelated). The weather is clear.

This permit needs to be revoked. It never should have been issued this way. The contractor needs to reapply for separate permits limited to specific dates and a specific side/length of the street where work will actually be occurring. This is significantly displacing parking for residents and the contractor needs to make a good-faith effort to mitigate that impact.

Please note I have tried to reach the public works construction permitting office at 617-349-4800, option 2, option 2, but it does not seem to be routing to a phone line operated by a city employee.

    Thank you in advance.

Can someone in City Planning please work with Harvard Law to have them establish an Uber Pick up in the circular driveway on their property across from Waterhouse Street? With the protected bike lanes, when events let out, as one did yesterday around 4:45 pm, ubers stop in the driving lane closest to the protected bike lane, pedestrians start cutting across bike lanes with their luggage seemingly without knowing whose uber it is and frequently with outlook looking first: bikes, cars and pedestrians are all in peril as all traffic comes to a sudden halt.
