980 Memorial Dr Cambridge, MA - West CambridgeHeading westbound on Memorial Drive in Cambridge and all of a sudden there are cars parked in the right lane. There are no signs to warn you about this and I see people _all_the_time_ swerving in the left lane at the last second. I am frankly surprised that I haven't seen more accidents there. Either put a sign up to warn the drivers in the right lane, or prohibit parking on that stretch of road.
5-7 Cedar St Cambridge, MA 02140, USA - North CambridgeCars routinely drive over the sidewalk from the small parking lot here to get onto Cedar St which extremely dangerous for all road users. You can see in these photos the tire tracks. Can metal bollards be installed to prevent this?
165 Cambridge Park Drive Cambridge, Massachusetts - North CambridgeCambridge Park Drive was recently made into a 2 hour parking zone with no Residential Parking option. There are 3 apartment complexes on that street and therefore I am requesting the city add an exception to the 2 hour parking to those who hold a Cambridge Resident permit.

Hi Cambridge, it's Ian, are you listening?
Once again there are trucks parking in the bicycle lane on Broadway between Hampshire St and Galileo Galilei Way. I've attached a picture of the truck showing the license plate, as well as the back of a sign that says:
I think the sign is pretty clear, no stopping means no stopping, right? But the trucks are stopping and obstructing traffic. So let's take some action. I'd like to either see some bollards put up to prevent trucks from stopping here, or I'd like to see you removing the bike lane striping and put a "LOADING ZONE" sign in so that everyone is aware that this is a legal loading zone. I'd prefer bollards, but let's be real here, if you'd rather this stretch of road be a loading zone that's fine, just mark it as such so I expect to have to fight for my life while biking through this critical connector to Kendall Square.
I don't want a generic "This is being looked into" response. I'd like to talk to someone about what we can do to take some serious action here. If you're interested in bollards but not convinced they'll help let's trial it with orange traffic cones for a week.

A livery driver was stopped in the bicycle lane on Broadway, outside the building marked as 1 Hampshire St. I approached the driver and asked him to move his vehicle. He refused, so I called Cambridge Police, who were very nice, but admitted that they're very busy tonight and would likely not respond.
I'd imagine a livery driver, a professional driver, knows better than to obstruct the road while making a stop. Even more so when the passenger isn't even nearby! What's the protocol for reporting these drivers?
Finally, how do we fix this? Can we get some bright green pavement treatment? Or better yet, maybe some bollards to physically prevent cars from parking here?

Another day, another tractor trailer parked in the bike lane on Broadway. Yes yes, I called CPD. Unfortunately the driver saw me standing there and took off, so CPD's dispatcher didn't really care to record the issue, so here we are. Hooray for citizen action keeping road users safe, but we really shouldn't need to be doing that.
Again, can something be done to physically prevent trucks from parking in the bike lane here? As we've all learned, abstinence doesn't really work. If you want to avoid major issues you really need to protect users.
150 Cambridge Park Drive Cambridge, Massachusetts - North Cambridge
I'm writing this to share my true ire towards what you have let happen on Cambridge Park Drive. The city has continued to allow massive buildings and apartment complexes to be built on this road fully knowing there is only ONE way to get out of that road and also know that the ONE way to get out of that road is a true and utter disaster to say the least. What you have done here is create a situation that is unsafe and is legitimately ruining peoples lives. I work at 150 Cambridge Park drive and I have to park in the parking garage that is now there. It has consistently been taking me 45 minutes to get out of my parking garage and to the lights at the Summer Shack. Honestly, you had to see that coming and you should be ashamed of yourselves that you knowingly allowed all of this building to continue knowing full well that it was going to be more than a nightmare to all of us that work or live down in this area. I already have a 45 minute commute as is, so I don't appreciate the fact that it's taking me 45 minutes just to go 1/10 of a mile to get to the intersection where it then takes me another 45 minutes to get home. I'm utterly disappointed and disgusted with the judgement and decisions the city of Cambridge made. The outcome is that you've basically ruined our work weeks even more and we really don't appreciate it. And that's not to mention that you've caused a severe emergency and fire hazard because if there was anything bad to happen between 430-7pm on weekedays, it would be nearly impossible for emergency personel to get in and especially out of Cambridge Park drive. I know whoever reading this is unlikely to be the decision maker for all of this, but please pass on my severe frustrations and disappointment to the group that did make these decisions. I sure their commutes aren't nearly doubled because of the decisions they've made.
369 Harvard St Cambridge, MA, 02138, USA - Mid-Cambridgecontractor blocks two parking spots with space savers. i thought we have to apply and pay for parking spots for moving and contractors? why can they do it with buckets and a wheel barrel?
96 6th St Cambridge, MA, 02141, USA - East CambridgeThis RV has been parked around the neighborhood for quite some time using a visitor parking pass and is taking up 2-3 spaces. Cambridge does not allow oversized vehicles to use Visitor Parking Passes. Please enforce. The visitor parking pass being used is 19V01865
59 Hampshire St Cambridge, MA, 02139, USA - CambridgeWhite caravan still parked with Wong visitor permit since November 2019. Hasn't moved once so violating visitor permit regs along with wrong permit for area, also parked in bike line. Numberous complaints to city with no results. Flagged down a traffic Dept enforcement officer on Wednesday and was told car would be booted. No boot yet! Who do you need to know in Cambridge to get this addressed? I've lived in this city all my life, 40 plus years and this side stepping and avoidance to address this issue is ridiculous. A police officer was also on site when the traffic Dept person was there an assured the police officer this would be addressed! If I have a friend come by and drop off something they get a ticket but this car is magically ignored!?
