Russell Field/Dudley&Clifton Cambridge, Massachusetts - North CambridgeNow that fall sports started, the illegal parking on the park green grass space accessed from Clifton Str -- by the youth coaches/parents ? -- has started. Yesterday, a car was driving down the pedestrian path -- where there is no place for pedestrians to jump out of the way because of the park construction. And at least 3 other cars were already parked illegally. PLEASE -- EVEN WHEN THIS IS HAPPENING IN NON M-F 9-5 HOURS -- PLEASE CONTROL THE ILLEGAL PARKING AS IT'S NOT A ROAD, IT'S A PEDESTRIAN PATH. (Thanks and I didn't mean to shout.)
1 Alewife Ctr Cambridge 02140, United States - North CambridgeThis construction site uses these well travelled bike lanes for truck parking every morning and it’s a major hazard.
16 Trowbridge St Cambridge, MA, 02138, USA - Mid-CambridgeThere are delivery vehicles, moving trucks, uber/lyft cars and residents parking on the bike lane in Trowbridge Street on a daily basis forcing bikes to enter dangerous traffic. How/where can we submit a request to dedicate 2 or 4 parking spots in Trowbridge street permanently as loading zone? I think this is the only way to solves this dangerous situation in the long run.
35 Cambridgepark Dr Cambridge, MA, 02140, USA - North CambridgeThe same cars parked in this bike lane as are parked in the bike lane every morning! Why isn't there ever any ticketing here?
35 Berkshire St Cambridge, MA, 02141, USA - Wellington-HarringtonThe earth walls of the foundation recently dug (and abandoned due to COVID-19) at 35 Berkshire St are eroding underneath the adjacent sidewalk (pictured) and parking lot access road. I don't know how close either are to collapsing, but it seems like a serious hazard.
35 Cambridge Park Cambridge, Massachusetts - North CambridgeUber and Lyft cars have been parking on the bike path outside of Cambridge Park Apartments in the morning and evenings. This is blocking traffic and making drivers drive on the wrong side of the road. The elevated bike path has only made things worse since the taxi cars now will not pull over and just park in the middle of the road.
20 Gray St Cambridge, MA, 02138, USA - Neighborhood 9This "no parking" sign was stapled directly on to our house -- the sign should not be stapled to private property.
23 Cushing St Cambridge, MA 02138, USA - CambridgeSomeone has painted parking stalls, lane striping, and directional arrows near the intersection of Cushing and Belmont streets.

Thank you for installing electric chargers in some of the parking lots in Cambridge. This is something great and very important!
The problem is that numerous times these Electric Vehicle (EV) spots are occupied by non-EV (gasoline) cars! :((
There have been times that I was unable to charge my EV car because these spots were blocked by non-EV cars.
While the drivers are also to blame, we can do a better job explaining to them this new concept. For example, see the attached image from one of the 2 parking lots in Green st. & Pleasant st. There is no sign on the charger, and there is some mark with a thin chalk on the ground. The problem with the thin chalk is that it is completely invisible when there is snow or ice, or when it is dark (any time of the year).
What we need is something like the chargers in the Union Square parking lot in Somerville: "Electric Vehicles only". Adding a note that the car may be otherwise towed would definitely help. Once we have such signs, enforcing this rule (the same way we efficiently enforce expired parking) would be totally justified.
82 Mt Auburn St Cambridge, MA 02138, USA - RiversideGod forbid we should use a parking space to pile snow rather than the nice new bike lane. Cars deserve parking. People can fight over the scraps.

Central Square is a wonderfully busy hub of commercial activity, and as such, it is understandable that there is a lot of vehicle traffic.
Alongside this high vehicle traffic is high bike traffic.
The large number of drivers and riders only means the chances of accidents increase when (and not if) bikers have to merge into the vehicle lane to get around a vehicle obstructing.
No one has ever seen TPTD really do any sort of bike lane obstruction enforcement even during the day when they're working - only parking.
Therefore, this sort of enforcement falls onto CPD, even though it sucks and is boring paperwork! CPD already has 2 Central Square units with the standard complement of route and sector cars, and now with the substation soon-to-be, lots of Central Bike units!
CPD, please encourage your officers, especially the CBs, who themselves will bike in the bike lane, to take an occasional bike around Mass Ave, and have cars moved along.
