Notified About

  • 142 Hampshire St Cambridge, Massachusetts - Cambridge

Multiple cars are parked over 2' away from the curb and obstructing the bike lane here. I've posted a picture of the first car I came across, there was at least one or two more further down the street as well.

This kind of terrible parking might be begrudgingly acceptable during a snow storm, or maybe up to a day after a storm, but almost two weeks after a storm? No, not even close to ok. This car needs to be ticketed and towed for obstructing the right of way.

  • 137 Hampshire St Cambridge, MA, 02139, USA - Wellington-Harrington
While on Hampshire at Elm Saturday 8/15/20 around 10:40am I saw two police officers directing traffic with many construction workers and pedestrians nearby (definitely within 6 feet) and neither police officer was wearing a mask. They also weren't enforcing the mask requirement to those who walked by without a mask on. This is truly absolutely unacceptable. Can civilians issue violation tickets to police officers for failing to follow the governor's orders requiring masks in public?

    275-283 Us-3 Cambridge, MA 02138, USA - West Cambridge
Unshielded parking lot lights at Cambridge Honda. Owner removed the old shielded lights. New lights are much brighter. Without shielding the lights are creating light trespass into the adjacent residential area and Fresh Pond reservation.
  • 369 Harvard St Cambridge, MA, 02138, USA - Mid-Cambridge
contractor blocks two parking spots with space savers. i thought we have to apply and pay for parking spots for moving and contractors? why can they do it with buckets and a wheel barrel?
  • 1585 Massachusetts Ave Cambridge, Massachusetts - Agassiz-Harvard
Can someone in City Planning please work with Harvard Law to have them establish an Uber Pick up in the circular driveway on their property across from Waterhouse Street? With the protected bike lanes, when events let out, as one did yesterday around 4:45 pm, ubers stop in the driving lane closest to the protected bike lane, pedestrians start cutting across bike lanes with their luggage seemingly without knowing whose uber it is and frequently with outlook looking first: bikes, cars and pedestrians are all in peril as all traffic comes to a sudden halt.
  • 96 6th St Cambridge, MA, 02141, USA - East Cambridge
This RV has been parked around the neighborhood for quite some time using a visitor parking pass and is taking up 2-3 spaces. Cambridge does not allow oversized vehicles to use Visitor Parking Passes. Please enforce. The visitor parking pass being used is 19V01865
  • 147 Hampshire Street Cambridge, Massachusetts - Wellington-Harrington

UPS Truck parked, poorly, in a handicapped spot and completely obstructing the bike lane. I called CPD and was transferred "to a police officer" who transferred me back to the same dispatcher, who finally transferred me to a Lieutenant when I pointed out transferring me in circles is silly.

Is there a specific person in the Cambridge City Government who is working to address issues like this? If I tried to park like this in my own car it'd be ticketed and towed instantly, so why is it ok for a business to do this? Wouldn't it be better to just install some more loading zones on Hampshire St to meet this need?

  • 1517 Cambridge Street Cambridge Massachusetts - Mid-Cambridge
The traffic cone was moved and people are parking in the bike lane
  • 1991 Massachusetts Ave Cambridge, Massachusetts - North Cambridge
Please install more bike parking near St James Episcopal Church on the sidewalk. This is the most common approach for cyclists - As it stands, on Sunday mornings, parishioners who bike to church end up competing for the single bike post or have to walk 10 minutes and park in Porter Square. Several posts could easily be put to good use during the week and there is a large amount of sidewalk to work with.
  • 86 Kinnaird St Cambridge, MA, 02139, USA - Riverside
This large bus has been parked on Kinnaird near Bay St. since the last street cleaning, taking up multiple spots. Is there a rule against oversized vehicles parking in a resident permit zone?
  • 79 Hampshire St Cambridge 02139, United States - The Port
Nice performance from this driver who decided to unload blocking the bike lane and crosswalk, despite the abundant parking space around.
  • 59 Hampshire St Cambridge, MA, 02139, USA - Cambridge
White caravan still parked with Wong visitor permit since November 2019. Hasn't moved once so violating visitor permit regs along with wrong permit for area, also parked in bike line. Numberous complaints to city with no results. Flagged down a traffic Dept enforcement officer on Wednesday and was told car would be booted. No boot yet! Who do you need to know in Cambridge to get this addressed? I've lived in this city all my life, 40 plus years and this side stepping and avoidance to address this issue is ridiculous. A police officer was also on site when the traffic Dept person was there an assured the police officer this would be addressed! If I have a friend come by and drop off something they get a ticket but this car is magically ignored!?
