Illegally parked truck, blocking the bike lane. This is the same truck in the same location at approximately the same time (8:00 a.m.) as yesterday - either CPD wasn't able to issue a citation yesterday or the company doesn't care. As with yesterday, today I called CPD at the time of the illegal parking.

This "no parking" sign was stapled directly on to our house -- the sign should not be stapled to private property.

Isn't it illegal in Cambridge to rent out a residential parking space? This is the Norfolk St side of property.

Heading westbound on Memorial Drive in Cambridge and all of a sudden there are cars parked in the right lane. There are no signs to warn you about this and I see people _all_the_time_ swerving in the left lane at the last second. I am frankly surprised that I haven't seen more accidents there. Either put a sign up to warn the drivers in the right lane, or prohibit parking on that stretch of road.

Hi Cambridge, it's Ian, are you listening?

Once again there are trucks parking in the bicycle lane on Broadway between Hampshire St and Galileo Galilei Way. I've attached a picture of the truck showing the license plate, as well as the back of a sign that says:

    TOW ZONE
    NO
    STOPPING
    ANY TIME

I think the sign is pretty clear, no stopping means no stopping, right? But the trucks are stopping and obstructing traffic. So let's take some action. I'd like to either see some bollards put up to prevent trucks from stopping here, or I'd like to see you removing the bike lane striping and put a "LOADING ZONE" sign in so that everyone is aware that this is a legal loading zone. I'd prefer bollards, but let's be real here, if you'd rather this stretch of road be a loading zone that's fine, just mark it as such so I expect to have to fight for my life while biking through this critical connector to Kendall Square.

I don't want a generic "This is being looked into" response. I'd like to talk to someone about what we can do to take some serious action here. If you're interested in bollards but not convinced they'll help let's trial it with orange traffic cones for a week.

  • 6th St Cambridge, MA, USA - East Cambridge
I find it incredibly hard to find parking on 6th St as residents are using space savers (chairs, stools, trash can) to reserve shoveled parking spots.
  • 48 Harvey St Cambridge, Massachusetts - North Cambridge
a dumpster is on Harvey St, across the street from us. There was a permit that went until mid- JUne. THE DUMPSTER IS STILL THERE! taking up two parking spaces and making a home for rats (yes, I have seen them). Workers are filling it up from pick up trucks- I assume form other jobs at other addresses. Thank You for your time

Please install more bike parking near St James Episcopal Church on the sidewalk. This is the most common approach for cyclists - As it stands, on Sunday mornings, parishioners who bike to church end up competing for the single bike post or have to walk 10 minutes and park in Porter Square. Several posts could easily be put to good use during the week and there is a large amount of sidewalk to work with.
  • 96 6th St Cambridge, MA, 02141, USA - East Cambridge
This RV has been parked around the neighborhood for quite some time using a visitor parking pass and is taking up 2-3 spaces. Cambridge does not allow oversized vehicles to use Visitor Parking Passes. Please enforce. The visitor parking pass being used is 19V01865
  • 137 Hampshire St Cambridge, MA, 02139, USA - Wellington-Harrington
While on Hampshire at Elm Saturday 8/15/20 around 10:40am I saw two police officers directing traffic with many construction workers and pedestrians nearby (definitely within 6 feet) and neither police officer was wearing a mask. They also weren't enforcing the mask requirement to those who walked by without a mask on. This is truly absolutely unacceptable. Can civilians issue violation tickets to police officers for failing to follow the governor's orders requiring masks in public?
  • 142 Hampshire St Cambridge, Massachusetts - Cambridge

Multiple cars are parked over 2' away from the curb and obstructing the bike lane here. I've posted a picture of the first car I came across, there was at least one or two more further down the street as well.

This kind of terrible parking might be begrudgingly acceptable during a snow storm, or maybe up to a day after a storm, but almost two weeks after a storm? No, not even close to ok. This car needs to be ticketed and towed for obstructing the right of way.

contractor blocks two parking spots with space savers. i thought we have to apply and pay for parking spots for moving and contractors? why can they do it with buckets and a wheel barrel?
