  • 619 Upshur Street Northwest Washington, DC 20011, USA - Petworth
This is not my trash, but one of the neighbors dumped a large amount of cardboard boxes and bagged trash in the alleyway. There isn't any furniture, but there was no option to select for just "bagged trash." I do not anticipate regular garbage pick-up to take these items since whoever dumped them didn't put them in supercans.

I have observed numerous rats, both day and night, in the alley behind my house. While they are most commonly observed in the alley, I have also seen them in my backyard; near trash cans. The number of rats and frequency of their appearances is alarming.

There are trees on either side of the SB bus stop that were planted a few years ago. It appeared they were vandalized (chopped) soon after they were planted. They haven't grown an inch in two years and their leaves are always brown (even in the summer, except for a few). I think it's worth considering digging them up and putting some new ones in! They're an eyesore and provide no shade, and I doubt they are growing.
