West River and Hill North Neighborhoods.

Notified About

  • 476-504 Edgewood Ave New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Edgewood
Graffiti on bus shelter at Edgewood and EGB
  • 89 99 Ellsworth Ave New Haven, CT - Edgewood
Pike International bought the building at the northeast corner of Chapel Street and Ellsworth Avenue last year, and, while they put a lot of work into it, they really need to take one more step and redo this sidewalk. It's badly broken and a hazard to walk over. Pike's a big company, and it certainly can afford to repair about 100 ft of sidewalk for the safety of its tenants and other residents of the neighborhood.
  • 665 Whalley Ave New Haven, CT 06511 - Edgewood
Tried crossing Whalley Ave. on marked crosswalk (stood in crosswalk, kept slowly inching my way into the road) at West Park Ave. and was passed by a horde of motorists. No one even thought about stopping. Also got trapped in the middle of the road when cars did not stop on the westbound side. I think a new traffic light is warranted here with a countdown-style walk light for the crosswalk. This would help slow traffic on this dangerous stretch of Whalley and allow people to cross safely. Also recommended is a bicycle-actuated signal, so cyclists can turn on to Whalley safely.
  • 268 Winthrop Ave New Haven, CT - West River
This house is really deteriorating. The roof needs to be replaced, needs painting, the tenants have trashed all the railings on the front porch. Litter is and garbage is allowed to accumulate in the front of the property. It is becoming a real eyesore.
  • 433-473 Whalley Ave New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Edgewood
Pirate radio interferes with WNPR, 90.5, noticed mainly on Whalley Avenue; esp late pm and weekends
  • 737 Edgewood Ave New Haven, CT 06515, USA - Westville
Have noticed individuals, at night, at school playground performing sexual acts. Also have been noticing different vehicles parking either in parking lot by playground or on West Rock Ave by playground.
  • 1123 Ella T Grasso Boulevard New Haven, Connecticut - New Haven - Ward 03
The pedestrian signal to cross 6-lane Ella Grasso Boulevard at this location is 20 seconds, which is more than 4 feet of crossing distance per second. The standard for areas in which children and seniors are present is 3 or maximum 3.5 feet per second of crossing time. This intersection is directly adjacent to Barnard School and is an important access point for West River Memorial Park. The ped signal should be timed to at least 25-30 seconds.
  • Porter St New Haven, CT 06511, USA - West River
dogs left out side all year round with no shelter in little tiny pens one is so small the poor dog can bearly turn around please save these dogs they dont deserve to be out in the rain snow and heat with no dog house or roof to hide in or under
  • 278-286 Yale Avenue New Haven, CT 06515, USA - Westville
Un-plated motorcycles and ATVs running up and down Edgewood, Yale Ave, and coring through Edgewood Park. Parents are now avoiding the playground for safety reasons. Riding recklessly (wheelies WHILE ON PHONE) and wearing scarves to hide their faces. Officer on scene says "Not much we can do." Giving up and letting these guys rule the street is not really my understanding of what community policing is about.
  • 310 Winthrop Ave. New Haven, CT - Edgewood
There is a big dumpster behind this house with trash spilling out of it. Someone comes from other locations and adds to the trash. We think the owner of the house might own other properties and is consolidating refuse here. Dumpsters appear on a regular basis here. The trash is overflowing, looks terrible, is dangerous to local kids who might be tempted to explore, and we don't know what other problems all this trash can cause. We also wonder if this is a violation of regulations. We live here and hate to see the neighborhood looking like this.
  • Edgewood Avenue And Norton New Haven, Connecticut - Edgewood

At 4:40pm on Wednesday, April 8, there is currently a rider of a four-wheeled blue ATV who is doing repeated donuts, ripping up the grass in the mall on Edgewood Avenue.

My son believes this is the same ATV that we saw riding in Edgewood Park (even going into the Skate Park) on Sunday afternoon. The driver had a young child on his lap as they raced through the park.

  • 672-762 Whalley Avenue New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Edgewood
The skatepark at Edgewood is awesome. It's used more and more every summer. Let's build some ramps and clean up the transitions. Vote for this issue or add a comment to stay in the loop.
