    The drug activity being sold out of 1425 N St NW "James Apartments" has now spilled out onto the 1400 Block of N St. NW.
    The drug dealers out of "James Apartments" are now selling their drugs out of the hallway of the apartment building next door (1435 N St NW- "Truman House").

    Potential drug customers are loitering in front of "Truman House" day and night waiting for the dealer to come out of "James Apartments" and they are entering threw the always open 2 front doors of "Truman House" and transacting drug sales in the hallway. The dealer then goes back inside "James Apartments" and the buyer often lingers on the steps of "Truman House" smoking their purchased drugs.

    This is happening daily now, both day and night. They have found an "off the street" location to sell drugs and it has now reached a serious level.

    The drug dealers out of "James Apartments" aren't going anywhere as they have been there for years but if "Truman House" would lock their front entrance doors the activity would stop on the sidewalk.

    PLEASE, if you see this activity call the police. If we ignore this activity it will grow into more severe activity such as theft, robbery and violence.

    "Truman House" is managed by: Urbane Results and their office is inside "Truman House"- PLEASE ask them to lock their front doors.

    There is no cross walk on the north side of Rhode Island Ave on Florida Ave. making this an extremely dangerous location to cross while walking to the Shaw Metro Stop or riding the G8 bus toward Farragut Metro as most of us do in the mornings. I have seen many close calls at this crossing location.

    This heavily used intersection is dangerous. Cars drive fast and don't stop for the significant number of pedestrians crossing the crosswalk.

    Drivers are constantly running the red light for the turn onto New Hampshire Ave here. It is a danger to pedestrians who already have a very short time to cross.

    Perhaps police should sit at this intersection and ticket all offenders. Would make way more money than parking enforcement.

    employees of the Stoddard Nursing routinely secure 2week visitor passes illegally from MPD in order to park for free, without fear of ticketing on this zoned block:

    1) white mini van - VA plates, KJF4308, has had the largest number of 2-wk visitor passes (for at least 8 months) and parks each day.


    2) Sedan, 4 door, Maryland plate - 25994C - and displays STODDARD TAG 0071

    3) late model large sedan, light brown, DC plate BF9058 - also bears a pink Stoddard visitor tag.

    This abandoned house is falling apart. There is trash including a mattress in the front entryway. Drivers have been spotted stopping there to urinate in the basement entrance. The yard is overgrown. The boards are coming away from the windows. It looks accessible to vagrants and to people looking to stash things that shouldn't be stashed (e.g. drugs, weapons). In short, this beautiful old edifice has become a public hazard and public nuisance.

    Is there a plan to hold the owner accountable for making this property habitable and safe? Is there something we here in the neighborhood can do to help?

    Everyday children, seniors, students and neighborhood residents cannot safely cross the street at 4th and New Hamshire Avenue. There is no traffic light to cross at and the cars refuse to not stop at pedestrian crossing lines. THIS IS AN EXTREME ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN!!!

    The Columbia Heights Plaza has about 3-4 vagrants living there 24 x 7! A couple of these gentlemen are long-term fellows know to the police. They are intoxicated, We need a sustainable solution for them--and residents!

    Throughout the District, there are signs warning drivers to not block the box. My home commute path takes me up 12 Street and across Mass Ave. Every day, between the hours of 4:30 and 6:00, which is the range during which I've experienced this issue, drivers along Mass Ave will block the box, not allowing drivers along 12th Street to cross over Mass Ave. Often, I have to wait 2-4 light cycles in order to get past cars that continue to drive down Mass Ave, even when they have no room to do so. I would be immensely satisfied if I were to see a TCO at this intersection during my home commute this afternoon. And perhaps doing this on a regular basis would alleviate the blocking the box issues, as I am aware that this is a ticketable offense. Thank you in advance.
