Well, it's been awhile but the owner is back to her old tricks. Another unrelated male moved into the front room of the property. It's not like the rules have changed. She was cited for running an illegal rooming house before. I propose this time she be fined a step amount...maybe she will think twice before breaking city ordinance...again!
Abandoned bldg suffered extensive Fire damage in April 2014. Never boarded up or secured to protect passersby from falling debris. Requesting bldg be torn down or secured on all floors by those responsible. It is unsafe and an eyesore to our community.

There is a box truck parked blocking the alley. They have been parking here on a regular basis and it is not snow related. The license plate is crunched up underneath the vehicle in the back - making it unreadable and there is no plate in the front.
new owner is removing ceramic tile, asbestos tile from dwelling and using as a landfill on the property. Concerned with anything seeping into our environment when it rains . Asking the inspection to review what is being disposed of and the manner of the disposal.
Non-working bronco left on Essex at intersection of Hanes Avenue. Vehicle is parked over 18 inches from curb, not allowing other vehicles to park on opposite side of street. Vehicle was given an orange sticker 07/21, but it was removed 07/23. Trash is flowing out of vehicle.
Refer to VA Health Dept for Non-Smoke policies in effect for City Buildings and City Ordinance insofar as distance required for smoking near a public building. Repeated request to have employees of the Library to STOP smoking at the MAIN ENTRANCE have gone unheeded. Patrons are having to walk through second hand smoke.
