Notified About

  • 2305 Stafford Avenue Raleigh/Wake, NC - Wade
The trees at the entrance of 2305 Stafford Avenue have grown to block the street lighting to reach the parking lot at this location. Please trim trees to allow better lighting. We have had several requests for this issue.
  • 1505 Duplin Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Wade
The hill on Lewis Road from Brooks Avenue to Nottingham Road continues to affect our neighborhood. Traffic/speed here has increased and gotten worse over the last 5-10 years now to a point where it needs to be addressed before something bad happens. Cars speed down this hill where there are no sidewalks, many children, walkers and pets affected. Our intersection alone at Duplin Road and Lewis Farm Road houses over 18 children + the bus stop for Lacy Elementary. We need a 4 way stop solution before the school year starts and would appreciate any attention to this issue.
  • 2604 Hillsborough Street Raleigh, North Carolina - Wade
This morning, traffic is backed up down Hillsborough Street westbound because a construction crane has been planted in front of the new apartment building under construction. The balancing legs of the crane extend out into the traffic and lane, and this is causing traffic to have to drive up on the brick median to pass. The buses and a Coca-Cola truck I have been watching are having a very difficult time getting by due to oncoming traffic prohibiting them from being able to drive up and across the brick median.
  • Peachtree St Raleigh North Carolina - Wade
Wayland Height sewer project was recently completed. We first need to tell you that they did an excellent job. However they never readded the pavement lines/ stop lines at the intersection of Peachtree/Gordon/Ashland. This is really important before school starts as people are cutting through Peachtree at high speeds after dropping their kids off at Daniels middle school. That is a 3 way intersection (with a condo entrance there as well) and very dangerous. It becomes a real terror in the morning and at pickup times after school. also the sign coming down Ashland, is hidden in the tree limbs. thank you
  • 2-6 Enterprise St Raleigh, NC 27607, USA - Wade
An employee of Gonza Tacos Y Tequila dumped used cooking oil and grease out of a 55 gallon trashcan down a storm drain on Enterprise Street Sunday night during closing. I presume this is not the first time this has happened and won't be the last. Oil residue can be see staining the road in the photo.
  • 2709 Peachtree Street raleigh/wake, NC - Wade
we have a very dangerous intersection issue caused by two different factors. #1 is the weird traffic pattern that has 4 road entries feed into one intersection. Peachtree st, Gordon st, and Ashland st. don't actually meet at one point, there are several intersections within this intersection. Also because of the homes/trees at each intersection, you can't see cars coming from any much less all entries. Drivers aren't able to see pedestrians or cars coming or crossing any of those streets. And Peachtree is a 90 degree turn that is even more hidden.
The second issue is that the entire neighborhood has cars trying to avoid Daniels middle school. Instead they use Peachtree as a cutthrough, driving around and down Peachtree at high speeds.
Trying to exit a driveway at 8am is all but throwing dice not to be hit. All of this becomes a perfect storm because the way Gordon, Peachtree and Ashland meet. Please review the traffic pattern, adding signs/signal, Or consider making a dead end at Peachtree to stop thru traffic and avoid the "four-points" intersection issue. change something, anything....
  • 2112 Hillsborough Street Raleigh, North Carolina - Wade
3/22/16 @ 7:40 a.m. Westbound Hillsborough Street is blocked by a large U.S. Foods 18 wheeler unloading items in front of the Aloft. I was a passenger in a car being dropped off so I just got out and walked over to NC State. Westbound traffic was completely backed up past the YMCA. The roundabout was full- no one could move. As I got closer to the Bell Tower I could see the U.S. Foods truck was unloading out of a side door and the GoTriangle bus could not get by the truck because there is a median now down Hillsborough Street. There should be some rules about this, trucks should not be unloading at rush hour, blocking the roads. Make them park on Maiden or Enterprise! This truck was here last week as well, but the back-up was nothing like this morning.
  • Enterprise St & Hillsborough St Raleigh, NC - Wade
Since the Hillsborough Street "improvement" it has become virtually impossible to turn left onto Enterprise from Eastbound Hillsborough St. There is a left turn lane, no arrow, and traffic on West Hillsborough St is just 1 car after another non-stop.

418-428 Oberlin Road Raleigh, NC 27605, USA - Wade
The sidewalks are closed on both sides of Oberlin Rd in front of the 2 apartment buildings. Some construction guy practically cursed me out near McDonalds, I asked him where pedestrians are supposed to go and he replied "get a f***ing car." How can the City allow both sides of busy pedestrian traffic Oberlin Road be closed?
  • Dan Allen Drive Raleigh, North Carolina - Wade
Can the City of Raleigh please consider changing signs for Dan Allen Drive (in particular) and other campus streets to inform the unknowing driver that thru traffic is not allowed between 7am and 5pm? Make it known that these are "PRIVATE STREETS" as other signs indicate elsewhere?
It would be very helpful to citizens and visitors, especially for Dan Allen Drive, because every map and GPS system says it connects Western Blvd with Hillsborough Street.
  • 2619-2627 Ashland Street Raleigh, North Carolina - Wade

This dangerous intersection has been reported here at least twice in the past. Now major construction has begun on a piece of land that adjoins the intersection. Trucks are parked on the street, reducing visibility even further.

But more importantly: When the condo construction is completed, will the driveway for the new residences empty onto Ashland Street in the exact location where we already have the serious issues with visibility, driver speed, etc. that have previously been discussed here? If so, and no new signs, flashing lights etc. are added, the intersection will become even more dangerous.

Can someone in the appropriate city department please check the construction plan (and more specifically the entrance/exit/parking plan) for the new residences, and see if we are indeed going to be dumping more traffic onto this already-hazardous section of road? And if so, can someone please develop a plan to help reduce the likelihood of an accident? Thanks in advance for checking into this.

Corner Oberlin And Clark Ave Raleigh, North Carolina - Wade
Have already reported that the crosswalks paint has faded out on both Clark over Oberlin (Faire Restaurant to apts next to Tupelo Honey) and over Clark (Faire Restaurant to concrete median for right turn lane for traffic turning onto Clark from Oberlin).Click & Fix said the city will get to it later. Very dangerous intersection for pedestrians and cyclists. Please consider adding one of the white regulatory signs which reads, "Turning Traffic Must Yield to Pedestrians."
