Garbage trucks are idling outside a residential building for up to 50 minutes. This occurs weekends and weekdays, several times a week. Average time spent idling is 20 minutes.

The need to collect garbage is understood, but these trucks sit idling with workers sitting inside, engine on, doors open, using their cell phones.

A One Step Away employee harassed my wife verbally after being told politely that we didn't want to give him our money. He then followed us after being asked to stop asking us for money. I then informed him I was going to call 911, after which he fled north on 13th street. He was approximately 6 feet tall, white male, late 30's, unshaven face.

The Home2 construction has taken over the sidewalk across the street from the Terminal Market for about two years now. The pedestrians have been moved out into the street behind Jersey Barriers, and the bicyclists have been moved into an area of the street with trolley track crossings because of it. This causes a hazard for both cyclists and pedestrians as the tracks make an accident more probable and some cyclists take the pedestrian right of way behind the barriers making bike/pedestrian collisions more probable.

Given the high traffic nature of the area for tourists and locals alike, it's high time that Hilton gave the sidewalk back to the city and its residents. Two years is long enough.

The busses idling every day discourage customers from the food trucks who are set up there. I've asked them to move or to turn off their engines, and they are very inconsiderate.
