    Trenches were recently cut into this block of Arch Street (which was just repaved this fall) and neighboring streets but have not been refilled. Especially dangerous for bikers.

    Parents and others picking up and dropping off children at the Pennsylvania Ballet are often double parked, parked on sidewalks, and otherwise illegally parked on Wood Street, creating an impasse for cars, bicycles, and pedestrians. They often block access to the garage for the Packard Building. Cars illegally parked or otherwise illegally obstructing traffic should be ticketed and, where necessary, towed.

    There is an old wooden bed that has been out for trash pick up for several months. It has now deteriorated to the point of there are pieces in the alley (which is used for access to residential garages/driveways) that are sharp and many have nails sticking out. This needs to be picked up during the next trash day (Wednesday morning). If I get ANOTHER flat tire from getting my car in and out of the alley to and from my personal garage, the city should be paying at this point due to the non-pick up of trash and the laziness of the workers.

    Once a week or so the whole bike lane on this block is blocked by 6 to 8 police cars.

    Clearly the neighboring parking lot isn't big enough. I think there is enough space under the convention center over pass one block further. The question is why should police cars make biking more dangerous?

    The bike lane is blocked most afternoons and almost always by a parked police vehicle with no officer present.

    There are a variety of large gaping holes directly in the bike lane. This is particularly problematic as there are a variety of buses that stop here and literally push you into these holes or into moving traffic. Very unsafe, especially given their proximity to the traffic light, if someone were to bike into these holes unknowingly they could easily fall into moving traffic
