Dangerous crosswalk Archived107 Us-7 Burlington, VT 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricThere is a crosswalk, but pedestrians never seem to have the right-of-way and there isn't an electric walk signal. This creates a very dangerous situation as you basically always have to jaywalk across the crosswalk. Please give a gap between greenlights so that pedestrians can cross and give us a signal.

Sidewalks Acknowledged36 Walnut St Burlington, VT 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricThis section of the sidewalk and green belt on Walnut st next to the community garden should be re-done. There is a whole section of the sidewalk missing that floods when it rains, and the green belt has large chunks of an old driveway in it. Please improve this area! Thank you!

Parking signed as legal on bike lane Archived411 Colchester Avenue Burlington Vermont - Burlington Electric
The signage on the Colchester Ave bike lane is such that it allows residents to legally park in the lane at the top of the hill. The no parking needs to be moved down the hill to the point where the bike lane transitions from outside the parking to the curb. There is a section as seen in the photo where the car is legally parked according to the signs but blocks the bike lane causing bikes to have to swerve out into traffic while going up a busy steep hill. PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW PARKING IN BIKE LANE!

Sidewalks Acknowledged802 Colchester Avenue Burlington, Vermont - Burlington ElectricA big gap has formed which could easily cause a biker or pedestrian to tumble into fast-moving traffic. The metal joint plate covering the gap creates a dangerous surface.

unpermiited sidewalk business Archived32 Rose St Burlington VT 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricA resident of 32 rose street has been setting up a sidewalk sale every single day - weekday and weekend - right on the sidewalk from about 11am to 5pm every day. I can understand a single yard sale or sidewalk sale every now and then, but it appears to be his daytime business. If something is this frequent I would think it would need to be permitted. It is the source and site of many loud conversations, and may feel intimidating to neighbors and pedestrians. personally i find it unsettling and at times disruptive (he has had some loud swearing discussions). can someone please check in on what is going on and decide if it is permissible?

Safety Issue on Bike Path ArchivedStarr Farm Road Burlington, Vermont - Burlington ElectricIt has become apparent by recent NNE conversations that there is confusion regarding the stop signs on the bike path. Some people feel that the stop signs only apply to bicycles and pedestrians have the right of way. Pedestrians walk into traffic and bikes often ignore the stop signs. Maybe an additional sign explaining that the stop signs are for everyone on the bike path? Would appreciate some clarification on the matter. Thank you.

Transportation and Parking Improvement Request Acknowledged145 Cherry St Burlington 05401, United States - Burlington ElectricPlease move this rack to a better location where access isn’t blocked by a tree & cafe seating. It is difficult to access & underutilized. It would also be very helpful if it was reversed so bikes could be loaded from the street side. Bikes are not allowed on sidewalks downtown & the current configuration requires a user to get their bike up onto the sidewalk, back down into the rack, and then reverse this process which is a challenge for many folks.

517-605 North Avenue Burlington, Vermont - Burlington ElectricDue to all the potholes in the southbound lane between the 127 & the high school, combined with cars not following the actual radius of the turn, the bike lanes have completely worn away from car traffic over the winter. Please repaint ASAP, there is a lot of extra tourist bike traffic currently because of the detour, increasing the chances that somebody is going to get hurt.
