Berkeley 94720 United States - Berkeley
There is a huge (3-4’) pothole here in the middle of Bancroft Ave. Due to long term construction, this section of Bancroft has been narrowed to one lane for months, and the pothole is unavoidable. Please do something to fix this hazard!!

  • Scenic At Hearst Berkeley, California - Berkeley

  • Le Conte Ave & Arch St Berkeley, CA, 94709, USA - Berkeley
The left turn signal from Hearst onto Arch is actuated by a car in that lane. Unfortunately 40% of the time I am stopped at the intersection the car at the front of the turning lane hasn’t pulled up enough to get the left turn signal. The driver usually assumes the signal is broken and turns in red endangering pedestrians and incoming drivers. The signal needs to be actuated from further back, cycled through automatically, or marked much better.
  • Le Conte Ave & Hearst Ave Berkeley, CA, 94709, USA - Berkeley
Downhill Le Conte Ave direction has issues. Waited for 2 cycles at this light directly on top the in-ground sensor and the light never turned green for me. Had to turn right on red and ignore the sign. The other week the signal did turn green but there were 2 cars in the queue. Maybe the first in-ground sensor has failed?
  • Center At Oxford Berkeley, California - Berkeley

The high volume of pedestrian traffic on Center Street crossing Oxford Street results in vehicle traffic on Center Street getting stuck in the middle of the intersection.

Most pedestrians will cross even with just a few seconds left on the countdown and only 1-2 vehicles can actually turn right from Center St (Eastbound) onto Oxford St (Southbound). Pedestrians are often in the crosswalk when opposing traffic has a green signal.

Can Public Works look into either extending the yellow light phase for Center Street and/or having the green signal phase stay on for vehicle traffic after the pedestrian 'do not walk' phase is on? A few seconds added would greatly help pedestrians and vehicles clear the intersection.

  • Le Conte At Hearst Berkeley, California - Berkeley
