  • Pothole in Street Acknowledged
5500-5520 N Clark St Chicago, IL 60640, USA - Andersonville
  • 5740-5756 North Ridge Avenue Chicago, IL 60660, USA - Andersonville
There needs to be at least two garbage cans on Ridge between Clark and Broadway. The street is always littered with trash and people routinely throw trash in my shrubs. It makes the neighborhood look disgusting and unattractive. Without cans the beautiful flower planters become de facto garbage cans defeating the purpose. If we can clean up this section of Edgewater which is high traffic already, perhaps the home values will increase.

As I was driving past here last night, I saw it with my own eyes this time....a man with his pants pulled down, squatting - no doubt defecating - on the sidewalk. There are so many things wrong with this picture... The real question is...when will something ACTUALLY get done with it? Where is this homeless task force Rahm speaks of?

Around the 60660 Post Office Parking Lot the weeds are taking over the planters and the area between the sidewalk and Paulina Avenue. There is all kinds of garbage along the sidewalks and in the evergreens. Also there is one dead tree toward the grassy area just South of Devon and North of the alley.

On the night of June 30 and into the morning of July 1, 2014, our condo association suffered flooding damage in the lower lever duplex units on Kenmore and Balmoral In addition, the boiler room flooded. This is most distressing for all concerned. We have lived in our unit since 2007 and this is the third time we have been a victim of flooding. Water gysered up from the lower level shower and drains in other areas flooding a good portion of the lower lever of our unit. Other unit owners have similar issues.

The street in front of 5354-6 N. Kenmore does not drain properly. It only has one small drain that is often blocked. In addition the curbs are not high enough and water overflows onto to the parkway, sidewalks and lower level windows. In addition, the standing water attracts mosquitoes.

I would appreciate a response to this email with solutions to our condo's issues with standing water and with flooding.

Thank you for your prompt response and assistance.

A tree limb has fallen into the street after a recent storm
  • Missing sign Archived
1624 West Highland Chicago, Illinois - Edgewater
At the alley there was a sign for permit parking zone 719. A garbage truck knocked the sign down about a year ago. Citizens pay to park in this permit parking zone. The sign close to the corner of Paulina was nearly knocked over when the water pipes were put in a month ago. It is leaning badly so people can't read it easily.
