Obvious daylight/open air drug deals

We need more police presence at night and in the morning on the corner of Winthrop and Chapel St. The prostitution and drug selling is non-stop. We have the elderly and children that live in the area. Taxpayers in New Haven should not have to worry about their safety, health, property. Please fix the problem. A continuous police presence is necessary. Thank-you.

The people who moved into 1626 Chapel this month are noisy just about every night. There's usually 5 to 10 loud people on the porch, a car in the driveway with music blasting, and small children running around screaming. I got out of bed last night at 10:30 and walked over to ask them to be quieter. Before I could say a single word, one of them became obnoxious and belligerent.

This house is constantly throwing ridiculously loud parties. The bass from the music vibrates through houses on adjacent streets. Noise complaints made several times each summer but nothing seems to change.

In the past month, we've had a car stolen, 4 cars totaled from a police high speed chase, and this morning at 1 am gun shoos fired.... When is some one going to do something!!!! The prostitutes and drug dealing is enough, but the extras are getting out of control. Where are you Mr. Paca, guardian angels????

Ella Grasso Boulevard and Elm St - This is one of the worst intersections in all of New Haven for pedestrians. There is no safe time to cross the street, in any direction. Drivers always ignore the crosswalk, and pedestrians standing in the crosswalk, as if we do not even exist. Once the light is red on EGB, the light is immediately green on Elm, with cars turning both ways onto EGB. I think a 10 second crossing can be factored into traffic flow.

The guy who owns the quad at this address is out on Edgewood Mall with a little boy, maybe 4 or 5, in front of him. No helmets, of course. The grass on the Mall in front of his house is all torn up from wheelies and donuts. Here's another picture of him storing it behind his house. And a video, if it's not too big to upload.
What more evidence do the police need to go in there and confiscate his toy?

This particular block has numerous significant potholes, many are several inches deep. Potholes can't even be avoided because there are so many.

On Tuesday the people in this house held a large, noisy, outdoor party. The music blasted till 10:00p, their cars were double-parked along the whole block, and next morning the sidewalk was littered with trash and garbage. Wednesday night exactly the same obnoxious behavior. Last night, ANOTHER party with music blasting from after lunch to midnight. Right now they're setting up for another gathering. I called the police each night but the noise picked up as soon as they were gone. And the police have more to worry about than quality of life. What can we do to stop this assault on the peace and quiet of the neighborhood?
