Notified About

  • Park Street Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham

My car was towed from Park Street yesterday, 2/9. However, this street is NOT listed as a banned street for parking during a snow emergency. Can you please advise why I was given a $50 ticket and then required to pay a $50 tow fee, and how I can be refunded since there was no notice that parking on this street was banned or unlawful?

    Hello -

I'm renting a condo in Framingham, MA that had ice dams that made my ceiling in my bedroom collapse. My landlord was alerted of the ceiling leak before the collapse, said they were going to come check the ceiling to make sure nothing drastic would happen while I was away on a work trip. When I returned 5 days later on 2/12, the ceiling collapsed and my landlord never did anything.

It smells horrible of mold and mildew and my bed has also been ruined and likely many other things I haven't identified yet, including my $2,000 couch.

Since this occurred my landlord has been hostile and hasn't been accommodating even though I've become homeless since the air quality is so poor in the unit. In addition, the leak has spread to the first floor as well and started to damage other belongings as well.

I had a vacation planned to Ireland which i couldn't change (nor should I had to since I'm only a renter) and my landlord was supposed to have fixed the issues while I was gone. When I returned nothing had been done and all of a sudden their story had changed to benefit their lack of solution. The last time I spoke with my landlord they were hostile and hung up on me. I live alone and pay $1525 a month and its severely impacting my wellbeing to not have a home. I'm currently living in a hotel and have hired movers to help me pack and move everything I own into storage.

Please help with this issue as I'm currently hemorrhaging money, am sick from the smell of mold while packing, forced to spend any of my free time dealing with this disaster and my uncooperative landlord.

    Thank you

573 Hollis Strret / corner of Mcalee and Hollis the junk yard. Framingham animal control said to contact police animal control said they do not deal with parrots, thought they were an animal!?!?!? Even with windows closed you can still hear the bird. People there shouldn't even have animals the one dog had to be put down other one is left out all day no shelter and now the parrot.

I am not sure to whom I should address this request, and I would appreciate knowing if I should be contacting someone else.

I would like for someone to install a collar or shield on the street light in front of our house. Since replacing the bulb with LEDs, the bright light leaks into our house at night, even though we have room-darkening blinds and even though we are set back from the road. I think that the light head is angled down in such a way that it shines towards our house as well as on to the street. I know other cities and towns have done this for residents, and I’m hoping that Framingham can do it as well.

It’s good to see that the Town is looking for ways to save money, including installing LED streetlights throughout Framingham. In fact, I have just recently replaced most of my incandescent bulbs in my own house to LED’s, so I know the benefits they offer. I also understand that many Police Departments prefer LED’s because they offer truer color fidelity and assist in identifying cars and suspects at night. However, there is also a quality of life and nuisance aspect to these new lights that must not be ignored. I am sure that with a collar or shield, all needs can be accommodated.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

There is a trash dump by the rail tracks across from Framingham Salvage at 120 Waverly St. It has been a overgrowing, uncontrolled eyesore sight to see the trash overflowing and surrounding the dump bin ; One can also see lot of bed mattresses thrown over and now laying by the tracks. Can these be removed ? It's asuch an eye sore sight and reflects bad on Town when people drive by or see this through the train. May be the trash bin can be located somewhere. Or if it's private one, citation be provided. Thank you for your help.

I have been using Cushing Memorial Park to walk my dogs on leash because it is a great space where they can walk safely on leash. However, since the nicer weather, I have encountered many dog owners who refuse to leash their dogs. When informed of the leash laws or requested to leash their dogs, many of them refuse to do so. There is a noticeable lack of enforcement of the leash laws at this park. I would expect the town of Framingham to be more concerned about this due to the huge liability of having unleashed dogs in a public space. There is a gorgeous, brand new and hugely popular children's playground where there could be a dangerous altercation. Dogs should be on leash for not just their own safety but for the safety of other dogs, children, adults and even the seniors who walk at and live next to Cushing. Please provide a visible presence at this park of officials who can at the very least inform and insist people leash their dogs or even issue citations to assert the seriousness of the issue.

Taking a left at the lights on High Street (in front of Framingham State) and turning to go straight onto Edgell Rd. Cars go into the far left lane, which is supposed to be left only traffic heading to routes 9 / 30. Instead they use the "left only" lane to cut off cars in the correct right lane heading straight on Edgell Road. It's getting very dangerous with folks cutting into the traffic to go straight on Edgell! Can someone please pay attention to this problem. Thanks!

Is there any way that there can regularly be an officer in Framingham Common/Framingham train station in the mornings during peak commuting times? As a female, I don't feel completely comfortable in these areas on my way to work in the morning. People staying in the park occasionally scream things as I am walking and often there are intoxicated people sitting in the train station. I have seen officers in the area, but if this is something that could be done daily, I believe that many would benefit from this. Thank you.

This is a busy crosswalk with a lot of the Framingham commuters parking at St. Tarcisius parking lot and other nearby businesses. Every week I always see a close call of a pedestrian getting hit by a car. I myself was almost hit 3 times just this year by cars failing to stop once I'm on the crosswalk. Drivers see you crossing, but just continue driving. In one recent occasion I was almost halfway through the crosswalk. There is currently a sign off to the side by the Chinese restaurant, but it's not doing much. Something needs to be done before someone actually gets hit.
