  • Walk Signal Archived
327 Main Street Malden, Massachusetts - Malden Ward 1
I'm writing regarding the intersection on Main St and Centre St in Malden. This intersection is on the route that I use to walk home from work. It appears as though there is a period of time when everyone has a red light but the walk signal does not appear. I'm not sure if there is someone with a green light that I can't see since I can't see all of the lights at once - but traffic from all directions is stopped. I normally walk thru the intersection during rush hour so it is fairly busy and having the walk signal when traffic is stopped would make it a much safer intersection for pedestrians. Thank you in advance for looking into this.

I've had mice and roaches in this apartment for almost a year now. The landlord keeps saying they would fix the broken panel under the sink which seems to be their entry point. He has not done it. Please help me, I have a toddler.

This is the intersection of Charles St & Commercial St,drivers make 2 lanes and sometimes both lanes of traffic go straight through the intersection however on the other side of Charles St there is only 1 lane. No markings on the Road or signs , it’s dangerous.

This is the second time national grid is doing night work and ripping up the street. The last time lasted until 5am. Can they at least notify the residents of the affected area ahead of time?!

This has been asked and answered several times. Your tax dollars don’t pay a penny for the Police at these locations. Even a city councilor erroneously stayed that tax payer money was used to pay these officers. Fake news doesn’t benefit anyone. National Grid hired these police officers. The reason it’s peaceful is because of a police presence. That should be obvious.

  • 55 Regent Rd Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 1

I originally posted this in 2017 and then again in 2019. The case is still open? Why hasn't anything been done about it.

    DESCRIPTION
I find it really interesting The City of Malden has closed the case regarding the illegal parking space that has been created on the front lawn of the property at 55 Regent Road. The City is no longer allowing residents to pave their front lawns on Regent Road. Why would the city allow the property owner to create this mess on their property for parking, which is an eyesore to the neighborhood? The city should force them to dismantle it. Below you will find the message I sent on 1 June 2017:

    Description
I was told by the City of Malden (Permits Department) that parking on one's front yard on Regent Road is not allowed. As you can see by the attached picture, the owner of 55 Regent Road has made a makeshift driveway, which is a total eyesore to his/her neighbors and everyone else on the street. At one point, The City was allowing the cutting of the curb (for a fee and a permit) to allow access to their property for purposes of parking on a City-approved driveway. Can you please look into this? Thanks.

As a resident of this street and taxpayer, I would like to know why this is allowed at the expense of the property owners surrounding the property. It simply is not right and is a total eyesore. I really do believe The City of Malden sits on issues for a long time with no action, hoping that others don't notice so they can sweep it under the carpet. That's why the city has been become a "seedy" place in which to live. It's truly a shame.
