Notified About

  • 170 Medford St Malden, MA - Malden Ward 1
This has been asked and answered several times. Your tax dollars don’t pay a penny for the Police at these locations. Even a city councilor erroneously stayed that tax payer money was used to pay these officers. Fake news doesn’t benefit anyone. National Grid hired these police officers. The reason it’s peaceful is because of a police presence. That should be obvious.

This is the intersection of Charles St & Commercial St,drivers make 2 lanes and sometimes both lanes of traffic go straight through the intersection however on the other side of Charles St there is only 1 lane. No markings on the Road or signs , it’s dangerous.

The pedestrian walk light to cross from the T stop to Exchange Street is too short. People have to cross both, Commercial and Exchange Street to stay on the sidewalks, due to construction. Please allow for a longer walk sign for pedestrians.

Please fill numerous potholes. Cars will drive into oncoming traffic to avoid these wheel swallowing craters. After near head on collision I turned around to take this photo.

I am extremely disappointed that the City of Malden is giving out $50 parking violation tickets without having the appropriate signage alerting new residents as to these restrictions. When the fees were doubled, the city council rightfully pushed back on that without proper signage. It is disappointing that the director of public works seems more interested in a regressive revenue-raising scheme than in ensuring residents are aware of what is going on in their city. If he was really concerned with "sign pollution", which is nonsense, then the system would give first-time street sweeping parking restriction offenders a warning instead of scamming them out of $50 dollars. If the city cannot afford to put up the proper signage so residents and visitors are aware of restrictions, then Malden should give warnings to first time offenders as a cheaper alternative to raising awareness of these restrictions that are not obvious to new residents.

What is the city doing to this park? In the fall the biggest shade tree was trimmed so badly, it had to be completely cut down. It had one dead branch on the street side, and escalated into killing it. Can you please replace it? Now there will be hardly any shade. And as if the workers were bored, please explain this: All shrubs were completely sawed off, not trimmed but destroyed, gone. All of the birch trees on the sides have at least 2 stems sawed off, for no apparent reason. They were not hanging down, nor were they growing to wide......and the timing is cruel, as the shrubs cannot regrow, but birds were staring to nest. So once again, what benefit is assumed by destroying almost all plants that were obviously planted there originally to embellish the playground? Might as well just pour cement in a lot, add some slides and call it a day. Please explain, and please provide steps as to what will be done.

This is the second time within the last 2 Months that I awaken to brown water. I have called the water department and the fire department regarding notification. I'm a disabled man and need to watch what I take in. All I'm asking for is that we get notifyed before they start cleaning the hydrants. Please add a map with the areas that will be effective that day or the days to come.
This isn't a hard todo with today's technology. I have been runing my water for 5 minuets at a time all day, and still brown.
Gallons of water wasted (WILL MALDEN PAY MY WATER BILL THIS MOUNTH!!!!) Please help in figuring a way to notify your residents in inadvance please.
