Everett PD cruiser. Parked like this all morning. This is a recurring problem at this location. That able-bodied police officers (attending court to assist in prosecutions of individuals for violating the law) continue to behave as if they are above the law is disgraceful and sends a negative message to the community concerning respect for the law. Please TOW immediately. And please remind law enforcement to follow traffic, parking, and disabled access laws.
There is an extremely bright strobe light facing outward to the street. Located on the secodn floor. The past three nights it has woken me up because its directed toward my apartment building located at 134 summer st. My annoyance aside, I am concerned it may be distracting to drivers coming down summer st and could cause a potential crash. Again to clarify the light is sitting in the second floor window with the strobe light pointed out onto the street. It is incredibly bright and lights up my bedroom like Times Square even with my shades and curtains drawn.
Tonight (Saturday - 9/26) I contacted the Malden police about a large party and my concern about possible Covid-19 transmission. The officer I spoke with seemed focused on noise and not the virus. I found this to be inappropriate and distressing given the mayor's and everyone's concern about controlling this virus. Either we're taking this problem seriously, or we're not. It doesn't appear that Malden cares... Some people had masks on and others did not. My guess is that more than 50 people might have been there.
Cars are still parked all along Highland Ave in the travel lane, blocking the 2 way flow of traffic. I know the standard response to these issues is that tickets have been issued, but what is thst accomplishing towards resolving the immediate problem of traffic jams all over the city? A major road like Highland should have traffic flowing in both directions. Please do something about the width of the road and parking in the travel lane.
The sidewalks along Amerige Park have not been cleared of snow all winter. There are many many residents who attempt to walk there with there pets, and end up walking in the streets causing problems for people driving. I don't ever remember the city not taking care of the sidewalks around the park. Usually there is a little bobcat type thing that clears all those sidewalks.
Some cars have been parking to far from curb on the lower end of Blomerth and are actually parked in middle of street! This will be a problem for emergency vehicles and plows later tonight and tomorrow when the next storm hits.
