Every day at 6:15 a.m I walk by the beautiful patch of green at Savin and Cushing, provided by Mike's landscaping and the automatic sprinkler system is on pouring out gallons of water a minute, but it is aimed wrong, and most of the water goes
into the street and runs down the gutter. .
Just got home and tried to wash the dishes and realized the water pressure is very low. Affecting entire house; we ruled out anything internal. Would think if work was being done we’d have had a heads up and it wouldn’t still be the case this late at night. Hoping it’s not because of a fire or other emergency nearby.
Noticed at night time random vehicles would park on our driveway for a couple minutes? Not sure what to do about this? The last time we were able to catch the person parking on it but today we were unable to. Do we just call the non-emergency line to have them towed? Or can we do something because these cars keep trespassing on our property and we don't know who they are and don't know how safe it would be confront these people? Please advise.
The sidewalks along Amerige Park have not been cleared of snow all winter. There are many many residents who attempt to walk there with there pets, and end up walking in the streets causing problems for people driving. I don't ever remember the city not taking care of the sidewalks around the park. Usually there is a little bobcat type thing that clears all those sidewalks.
The curbstone at 42 Fellsmere Road is sticking out and has damaged the residents tire. We confirmed with Engineering that the Water Pipe Replacement Program does not include this section of Fellsmere Road. It has been spay painted as a visual warning until it can be repaired.
Apartment building had heavy machinery positioned within inches of neighboring houses early this morning with absolutely no notice to neighbors. Machinery ripped up pavement, shook neighboring houses like an earthquake, causing items to fall off walls & shelves, filled neighboring homes with smoke & dirt. No notice at all this would be done.
Nelson Miller says we should complain to the property owner about damage done to our properties by a giant pavement miller, larger than we've ever seen on city streets, while ignoring our repeated point that we don't know who the property owner is & have ZERO contact information for that person as he/she/it never bothered to introduce itself.
The other morning i was in my car getting ready to leave for work when i noticed a woman crossing the street at the highland ave Blomerth st crosswalk if thats what you even call it the lines are basically gone. A car traveling towards medford sped by the lady going at least 30 didn't yield. the street is unsafe and lights at the bottom of the street will not fix the speeding and safety issues going towards medford. Maybe a raised crosswalk like they do in other city's with heavy traffic. Highland ave needs a REAL solution to fix the major safety issue.
The dog that lives at 186 east border road is back off leash again. They've been letting him roam loose again for a couple of months now but today and yesterday I've seen him chasing cars a lot and almost get hit. It's not fair to the dog that these people are irresponsible and I don't want to see him get killed by a car. He also looks in much worse shape than the last time I complained about him being loose last fall. Dog is dark gray and small and named whiskey. By the pole in the photo. Also attacks people walking by from the high wall around their house (which is full of trash again, as an aside).
What are the rules for a public park being used repeatedly for parties? More weekends than not my husband and I walk with our grandkids around Fellsmere Park and at the upper side where the picnic tables are people are using this area as their personal party spot. It isn’t fair that all the parking is taken and also all the public tables are being used. Is this allowed? I would think this would require a permit Can the city address this? This area is for everyone not for repeated family functions Trash left behind is also not fair to the other people who enjoy the park. I remember signs that were put up by the DCR but they aren’t up anymore.
