  • Off Forrest St Malden, MA 02148 - Malden Ward 7
Waite's Mount Park off Forrest St looks like Beirut or Baghdad, a total disgrace with graffiti on the granite rocks, tons of broken glass not too long ago this was a beautiful and much loved and used neighborhood park

residential house running a mechanic shop from the back dumping grease, oil and other contaminants are being allowed to wash onto the street with no proper drainage these pollutants are making it down our street and we don't need this. plus the excess noise from all the work is a public nuisance

This sidewalk is closed but there is no effective detour when walking west, from Franklin Street (my home) towards the Malden Center train station. In fact, the sign stating the sidewalk is closed is only present in the other direction. And there is no safe way to cross Rt. 60 from Franklin Street to the point of the closure; a pedestrian-light is only present on the other side of the closure. Further, if I were to cross over Rt. 60 on my way home there would be no way to get back across after the detour, for the same reason. This morning I ended up walking right past a bunch of large construction equipment that was in use, and hoping that the operators saw me. Perhaps coning off that part of Rt. 60 so people could walk safely would be a better approach.

I have complained about this before and we had a cruiser one day stop people. One day just doesn't do it. As a resident of this city I expect more. School is bnb in session and kids are everywhere and we still have cars flying down the street with not as much as slowing down at the stop sign. Can I buy my own speed bump and put it in the street? At least this way I can ensure the safety of the children in this neighborhood since our city doesn't care.

I am waiting for my plumber to arrive to fix my toilet that broke when the rust came rushing through when you flushed the hydrants in ward 7 on Sunday. Can I look to the City for reimbursement of this bill. Also in order to clear the rust it was necessary for me to run the water non-stop for close to two hours. Can I look to the City for an adjustment on my water bill for this. Look forward to your response.
  • 125 Lyme Street Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 7
The neighbors of Lyme Street are writing concerning activity at 125 Lyme Street. The residents (The Lai family) are operating an automotive business from their home since April of 2020. They built a homemade garage next to their driveway and deck, with a large tarp pulled over it, and work on auto repair all day long, sometimes as early as 7:00 am and as late as 1:00 am. They do not have any license or permits. Tow trucks have brought cars into their shared driveway on a regular basis. They have people in and out of their driveway, bringing equipment and cars, are not abiding by the mandate mask wearing during COVID. Sometimes cars are parked all over the street waiting to be serviced. The owners play music loud to try to drown out the machinery work. The loud machinery and music can be heard several streets over.
Oils, gas, chemicals and broken glass are spilled all over the driveways. This is a health hazard for the residents who live in this area, especially for the young children who live next door.
We understand that many people are struggling during COVID and are trying to earn a living, but it not legal to run a cash auto business with health and noise violations from your driveway and yard. It is unfair to people who are abiding by the laws, the city regulations and mandates, and pay their taxes.
Several people have asked them to be considerate of their neighbor’s health, safety, and peace and quiet and have been met with extreme hostility so we feel we have to write this letter anonymously for fear of retribution.
We are asking the city to please investigate.

  • 74 Mills St Malden MA 02148, United States - Malden Ward 7
Help! 74-76 Mills Street sump pump has been running nonstop with water directed to abutting neighbors properties in the back of house. This is causing the abutters to take on all the water. The sump pump should be redirected to the street. Our yards are taking on too much water and getting flooded.
  • Water - Leak Acknowledged
117-199 Henry St Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 7
119 Henry st Malden, I have seen numerous people slip and fall from the pumping of water coming out of this house. This water is constantly and I have seen toilet paper and smells like laundry water. This is illegal to pump dirty sewer water out into the street 24.7. The water turns into a huge skating rink sheet of ice covering all of Henry n rich st. I've seen people get hurt and I've seen numerous vehicles slide from Henry into the middle of rich st not being able to stop. This is illegal and water pumps out of this house constantly even when there is no rain and snow for weeks and months. This is illegal and highly dangerous.
