Notified About

  • Western Boulevard Raleigh, North Carolina - Southwest
Many, many times I have witnessed cars coming from Boylan Avenue drive the wrong way down Western Blvd in order to turn left, which is currently not possible to do in either direction without this insanely dangerous maneuver. Crossing the street as a pedestrian is also hazardous as many cars do not stop even when the light has changed. I and my neighbors have nearly been hit many times by cars who do not stop. There should be a light triggered by cars or by a pedestrian walk request as there is at Western and Hunt by the prison.
  • 420 Chapanoke Rd Raleigh, NC 27603, USA - Southwest
Due to the incline coming out of the shopping center and onto Chapanoke Road vehicles are pulling into oncoming traffic without a clear line of sight. This issue needs to be looked at to prevent potential accidents.
  • 2 E South St Raleigh, NC - Central
While I appreciate the City of Raleigh having a fireworks display, please consider having a show where the fireworks actually go up in the air high enough you can see them. The show was terrible, all the people around us on Fayetteville St last night were also complaining. You couldn't see the fireworks.
  • 539-599 Ileagnes Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Southwest
This area continues to be littered with trash that finds its way back into the adjacent neighborhood. Please police this area for trash and take action to keep it clean. The woods in this location are riddled with glass, rusty metal and plastic. Have owners clean up.
  • POTHOLE Archived
1017 Trailwood Drive Raleigh, North Carolina - Southwest
I'm not sure the location is exact, but there is a VERY large pothole on Trailwood (the right side if you are driving towards Avent Ferry Road). You have to swerve into the other lane to avoid it blowing out your tire, which is very dangerous when there is oncoming traffic.
  • Western Boulevard Raleigh, North Carolina - Central
The intersection of Western Blvd and Boylan Ave remains a problem. In the last three days I have nearly been hit by a car that did not recognize the red light as relevant to their desire to turn left from Western onto Boylan and seen three other cars turning onto Western from Boylan run the red light for pedestrian crossing. Cars do not know where to stop (for westbound traffic on Western some go through the intersection and stop by the walkway others stop before the intersection, eastbound cars on Western turning left onto Boylan do not always stop before the crosswalk but seek to turn while the cars are stopped on Western). All of this is very hazardous for pedestrians and motorists. Is there some kind of signage to alert those turning onto Western from Boylan that they should be alert to the possibility of a red light at the crosswalk? Should the crosswalk be moved? Is there a sign to inform turning traffic from Western onto Boylan about where to stop or can an additional light be placed over the turn lane? I don't know the best solution, but this is an ongoing problem.
  • 735-799 Holden St Raleigh, NC - Mordecai

Where Holden Street meets Brookside Drive, there is a section of overgrowth that is not ideal. Garbage, vines, weeds, dirty signs, and erosion combine at the entrance to our neighborhood. We are also noticing this is a location for loitering at night due to low lighting and low visibility. With a little bit of planning and cooperation with neighbors and the city of Raleigh, we can transform this plot into a beautiful entrance to Oakdale.

We need the City of Raleigh's help with the following, please:

    - Schedule time with a Parks and Rec Tree representative to instruct on what volunteers are allowed to do with regards to trimming brush, vines and trees along the right-of-way. (Yes, we already have permission from the property owner) Also, instruct us on what plants such as bushes, trees, perennials to plant.

    - Who can work with us to have mulch delivered, so volunteers can spread it along the right-of-way.

  • 817 Northbrook Drive Raleigh, NC 27609, USA - Six Forks
Three speed hunps on Northbrook are too high, and were installed in violation of the City of Raleigh Neighborhood Traffic Management Program, section 4.3.2. The city's own traffic count was 4,120, so speed humps should never have been considered. These public nuisances should be removed immediately.
  • 861-899 Hillsborough Street Raleigh, North Carolina - Hillsborough
The new CAT 4 and Triangle Transit Route 100 and Route 105 stop by the entrance to the State Employee's Credit Union is not accessible due to the fact that there is no bus lane for the bus to pull next to the stop sign.
Parking is allowed all the way up to the entrance of the SECU and these parked cars block the stop.
  • Garbage Archived
453-491 Chapanoke Road Raleigh, NC 27603, USA - Southwest
2 dumpsters over flowing AGAIN with debris everywhere. International Foods, and adjacent stores are the cause. City of Raleigh already cleaned up once, 2 weeks ago, now all trash on ground and in adjacent woods is back.
  • Speeding Archived
1304-1308 Ileagnes Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Southwest
If RPD is in need of any funds, they can pick up some ticket revenue on Ileagnes in the evenings. There is a small black coupe, appears (at night) to have windows tinted, that has been running at least 60mph on a 25mph street several nights in a row. It was running south on Ileagnes from Chapanoke last night at around 10pm. Here's hoping that RPD and Raleigh take the speeding on this residential street seriously before a child or pet gets killed.
  • Vandalism Repair Acknowledged
2206 Millbank Street Raleigh, North Carolina - East Raleigh
Many of the windows in this unoccupied rental property were smashed out weeks ago, and the home has been left trashed and unsecured since then. Could Inspections please help the neighbors who have to live with this unsafe eyesore in their midst? Thank you.
