1600 Marsh Road Menlo Park, California - Menlo Park
The 2 new signs--1 at entry and 1 past 1st paved parking area--are in a type size too small to be read from a moving car. I would have to park at the park entry and get out and walk over to read all the "Do Not's". I suspect nobody bothers to pause long enough or close enough to read the rules. Please mke the rules easy to read from a 6+ foot distance and through a windshield. Thank you.
869 Santa Cruz Ave Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA - Menlo Park
10 carts. This person's things grow each month. It forces pedestrians to make way around it. The public bench has a used Coke 2 liter bottle with nobody around. If the town permits sidewalk storage to continue, others will do the same and the carts will multiply. It does not seem right for a private individual to use public sidewalk for storage, certainly not for a period of days, much less weeks, months. The carts are likely stolen property, which makes everyone uncomfortable. Is there code enforcement around this issue?
1781 Santa Cruz Avenue Menlo Park, CA 94027, United States of America - Menlo Park
The sidewalk in Santa Cruz between Lemon and Elder is in terrible and dangerous shape. This stretch is on the clock adjacent to Hillview where kids bike and walk everyday. I tripped this morning while pushing a stroller that got jammed in one of the potholes.
933 Crane St Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA - Menlo Park
There is a very narrow/sharp speed bump on Crane St, between Menlo Ave and Live Oak Ave. This street is an official city bike route, and this bump is dangerous for bicycles, which usually don't have any shock absorbers and are thrown several inches into the air. Please either remove this speed bump, add a gap for bicycles, or replace it with a wider/smoother one (as on Alma St.). Thank you.
Downtown Menlo Park Menlo Park, CA, USA - Menlo Park
Please address the issue of homeless squatting in downtown Menlo Park. Amanda, who is now spread out all over the old Flegels storefront and adjoining properties, and with carts all over Santa Cruz Ave, is now continuously shouting out at people. She really frightened a young family downtown today , as they passed, ( 6 ft apart- they have to walk in street to avoid her encampment). I spoke with a public health person a few weeks ago who was checking in on our group of homeless downtown, and the she said Amanda refused to be checked medically, so she just let her be. During a public health crisis, this is not safe for her or for the city. She is truly in need of some sort of assistance. I have observed her for the past few years, and this new behavior of shouting/screaming at herself and others needs some attention.
557 Willow Road Menlo Park, CA 515, United States of America - Menlo Park
This place is an embarrassment to the community. It needs to be torn down. It is a fire hazard, it is a health hazard, it's blight in its worst form. The roof is falling down, mold is everywhere, especially hazardous being located across the street from a hospital, school and park. The city is being negligent in turning its back on this abandoned property. Please do something about it including abating the excessively high weeds. Thank you. Call the health department. Call the fire department. Do something. Year after year of doing nothing is unacceptable.
1216 Windermere Ave Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA - Menlo Park
The people on this area constantly hangout in the middle of the street blasting music at ungodly volumes, also definitely breaking the shelter in place, theyre also doing illegal construction bringing in trucks, theyre out in the middle of the street as we speak, about i of them, like seriously what is MPPD doing?! Why are they not enforcing this, not only is it a nuisance but its a danger to all of us with this pandemic....come on MENLO PARK!!!!
950 Roble Ave Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA - Menlo Park
It is Thursday, August 1. More than a month since I first reported this issue. There has been exactly zero change in the situation. Sometimes they're in the street, sometimes on the sidewalk. But they are never taken in. Not only unsightly. but a clear violation of Menlo Park City Ordinances.
PLEASE DO SOMETHING!
471 Oconnor St Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA - Menlo Park
The rubber burns were the start of a race down O'Connor St. last Saturday easily tripling the speed limit. The cars were only slowed by the first speed bump several hundred yards down O'connor St. towards Menalto Ave. An Extra couple of speed bumps between Euclid and Byers Dr. could help control speeding down O'Connor St. Especially worrisome because of several parents with strollers walking the street. Could we get some speed bumps similar to the ones being installed throughout the Willows?
