On Friday, October 9th, the USPS delivered two packages to me, putting them on the porch but I never received them. They were sent by different suppliers and only upon checking their Tracking realized they were both missing. I have checked with my Marcussen neighbors, as we have a Google Group, and they were not delivered to the incorrect address. I have a feeling that they were stolen from my porch. (Earrings $70, Hat $20)

The sidewalk is barely useable. It is covered in debris and the construction fencing is impeding on the sidewalk. I noted the problem because a man was trying to walk on the sidewalk with an umbrella. The umbrella could not fit between the fencing and the street trees.

At 11am today this thief stole the tip jar from starbucks. The employees chased after him. He resisted and he fought them to keep the money. They got the jar back and some coins. This guy was very aggressive. I'm reporting this because he may be trouble elsewhere in our city. Thank you for following up. The jerk left on a stolen Facebook bike.

I was encouraged to read that the council is considering lowering speed limits but think it more important, first, to ensure that police enforce the current limits. Since the pandemic, traffic on College Avenue and Middle Avenue has been moving at warp speeds which are enormously dangerous. College Avenue has long been considered a shortcut. Cars regularly go between 40 and 50 mph. We have never seen police give a ticket or heard a police siren. For the public's safety, please address the question of enforcement either before lowering speed limits or in conjunction with the speed reduction.
Please note: There are many other streets which have similar problems, both local streets and major arteries such as El Camino Real. Once the street cameras were removed speeds increased both immediately and significantly.

This is in regards to blocking off the merge lane entering highway 101 South from Marsh Road. On Friday June 7, 2019, the lane that is normally available for cars entering the highway to merge onto the highway was blocked in a way that it leads the car needing to merge directly into the first lane of the highway, without giving the merging car appropriate time and distance to safely enter the highway. The cones were set up diagonally, which forces the merging vehicle to enter lane 1 of the highway at an angle. It is very difficult to pay attention to where the cones are leading and at the same time try to safely enter the highway. As a result of the angle that the cones forced the merging vehicle to enter, it was very difficult to get a clear view of the upcoming vehicles, thus making it very unsafe to enter the highway. I had to continue straight, running over a cone, which remained trapped under my car for a couple of miles until it eventually fell off. I was unable to pull over because the exit lane and shoulder was blocked off from March Road to Willow Road.

Please allow ample distance for merging vehicles to safely enter the highway or close the exit altogether. I would rather take a detour than risk not being able to safely enter the highway.
