Motorcyclists are people too.....if evasive action needs to be taken, a Motorcyclist will be hurt terribly, a bicycle rider can just bail off without a 500lb object landing om them...

    Bike lanes city wide are lousy with a winter's worth of gravel, silt, litter and other debris which pose loss of control hazards and crash hazards.

    Streets with significant pothole issues, e.g. Pine St and North Ave, are significantly worse as all the pothole debris gets pushed into the bike lanes. In some areas this has formed gravel mounds that are inches high.

    After being told the problem was being rectified by Chapin Spencer, today there are 2 CCTA cars parked at meters UNPAID and 2 buses at the intersection of Cherry and Pine. 1 bus is at a meter unpaid and 1 parked in a no parking zone.

    The contractor recently paved over part of the greenbelt and widened the driveway far beyond its previous width.

    As of last night, the North Union street bike lane was impassable. I could tell that it had been plowed, but residential plows ruined the work by dragging deep rutted snow into the lane and leaving it there. Please replow the lane, and take code enforcement measures to end the sloppy residential plow work. Thanks!

    This is the 2nd time I've reported this. Homeless people camped by the dog park. I walk past and the are drinking, swearing, have open fires, piles of trash and dogs that I'm sure are unregistered. Why is nothing done about this? It's disgusting, unnerving and illegal. I will not let my girlfriend walk in that area alone. Very bad message we are sending to our residents and visitors alike. So in a day or two, this post will be marked as acknowledged and absolutely nothing will be done and in the fall my tax dollars will be used to pay the DPW to clean up the mess they leave behind. Stellar job BPD and Parks Dept, stellar!

    We want to make you aware of a situation that has been brought to our attention from several residents at the buildings 188 and 194 North St. A large truck is consistently parked in the handicap space to the left of the driveway that is causing a shield effect for drivers exiting and entering this driveway. We recently have been notified of several accidents (cars) and near misses (pedestrians) caused by this large vehicle being parked there. We want to offer a suggestion to move this handicap space to the corner of North St. and Elmwood Avenue or on Elmwood Avenue in front of T. Ruggs. We would like to avoid future accidents since the common denominator has been this truck that people can not see over. Please for the safety of everyone consider this move!

    Please move this rack to a better location where access isn’t blocked by a tree & cafe seating. It is difficult to access & underutilized. It would also be very helpful if it was reversed so bikes could be loaded from the street side. Bikes are not allowed on sidewalks downtown & the current configuration requires a user to get their bike up onto the sidewalk, back down into the rack, and then reverse this process which is a challenge for many folks.

    I find it ridiculous that the right of way is given to two buildings on the water that is a private drive. Thousands of people use the Greenway and cross this daily. The road should have a stop sign and the Greenway should have right of way. Just a few hundred feet up the path at Driftwood the road has stop signs and the path has right of way. Please correct as I watch 80 path users cross this without a single car using it.

    Northbound bike lane is reduced to foot-wide section. Bikes are forced to drive on double yellow against traffic.
    Note: Sending a sidewalk plow down the bike lane at this stage is way too late and will achieve very little, because of the amount of snow and ice. This needs a big plow and should have been addressed during the parking ban(s).

    These signs are up year round on all of the Bissonette properties. Does he have a permit for this? They are ugly and give a transient feel to the neighborhoods they're in.
