    At least 5 long-term campsites are established on the no-camping beach just north of the Blodgett factory fence. There is garbage and smell from waste. This is not a legal campsite.

    News tonight states a pedestrian and dog were killed on North Avenue by Poirer Place. North Avenue needs lit crosswalks like they have on Pine St on busy crossing areas. We have a big population and many folks crossing from east to west.

    Street sweeping needed in the bike lanes and on shoulders on the entirety of Pearl Street (both directions). Glass and metal debris capable of puncturing bicycle tires.

    Crosswalk across Park St. to Battery Park is dangerous and could benefit from a flashing warning light like the ones installed along Pine St. and near Edmund's schools on Main St. Several times recently a friend and I have had cars waiting in two of the three lanes only to be almost run over by a driver not paying attention in the second of two lanes coming from the North on Park St. Cars from Battery St., North Ave. and Park St. typically do not acknowledge this established crosswalk.

    This is the 2nd time I've reported this. Homeless people camped by the dog park. I walk past and the are drinking, swearing, have open fires, piles of trash and dogs that I'm sure are unregistered. Why is nothing done about this? It's disgusting, unnerving and illegal. I will not let my girlfriend walk in that area alone. Very bad message we are sending to our residents and visitors alike. So in a day or two, this post will be marked as acknowledged and absolutely nothing will be done and in the fall my tax dollars will be used to pay the DPW to clean up the mess they leave behind. Stellar job BPD and Parks Dept, stellar!

    This corner is starting to look like a ghetto. Graffiti on multiple posts of Asiana House's awning structure. Also large tags on brick building to west of Asiana house.
  • Maple And Battery St Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
    There are no pedestrian signals at Battery and Maple. This is a high volume intersection that needs dedicated pedestrian signals to allow people to safely cross including those that need extra time. This connects to the Burlington Bike Path on one side and should allow for better pedestrian experience. I had three cars cut me off trying to walk across this intersection. Two of them doing right on red.

    I do not know what the city can do other than build the Champlain Parkway finally after 4 decades, but until then if something is not done to deal with the constant speeding traffic and massive tractor trailer trucks that cascade down Home Ave at all hours of the day, someone is going to get seriously hurt or worse. Kids are scared to walk out of their front doors or walk to school because it is like playing a game of frogger every morning and afternoon at rush hour.

    Why is the city and state so dysfunctional? Why can't they bring any large infrastructure project successfully to fruition?

    Landlord of property is dumping gravel on greenbelt creating an illegal transition from street to a non permitted parking lot.

    Please repair the paved path between Callahan Park and the Birchcliff Parkway neighborhood. The pavement is in terrible condition. Pedestrians (many of them children!) are tripping and falling. We need a pedestrian- and bike-friendly path between the Five Sisters neighborhood and Champlain Elementary School. Thank you.

    The surface of this is dangerous. There is a raised ridge and then an uneven dip below the road level. This is another example of what is inadequate road repair throughout the city. It seems inefficient and expensive to repair road patches 2-3 times. What is the DPW's policy on this? It's worth noting that these are often Water Department repairs...is there a different set of expectations for different departments of repair?
