  • 4109 Park Avenue Richmond, Virginia - Malvern Gardens
City needs to remove very large remains of tree cut down by Davey. Tree trunk is on curb, grassy area, and in street. Also, when Davey cut down the tree they allowed it to fall uncontrolled to the ground, causing a large hole in the ground (tripping hazard) and possibly damaging the gas line immediately under the felled tree.
  • 3100 Grayland Ave Richmond, Virginia - Carytown
The owner maintains a box dumpster in the yard of this house as a dump site for his real estate business. The house at this location has been 'under renovation' for over a year with long periods of inactivity. Many transient people use the site for dumping.
  • 201-299 Freeman Road Richmond, Virginia - Carytown

The block of Freeman Road between Parkwood and Grayland has no sidewalks.

This is an area that is so eminently walkable but which also has a decent amount of car traffic. This block is a connector for all of City Stadium neighborhood and Carytown.

2914 Floyd Ave Richmond, VA - The Museum District
The alley at the 2900 Block of Floyd Avenue is full of large potholes. Has not been re-graveled since 2005/2006. In really bad shape. Several of us homeowners on the block have talked about re-graveling ourselves, since the city is not maintaining the alley.

1601-1699 Blakemore Road Richmond, Virginia - Westlake Hills
Major deterioration around metal plate for gas main in the intersection of Bliley and Blakemore Roads due to traffic markings on the pavement. All vehicles must ride across this plate. Rain and freezing are causing the hole to deepen. See attached photo.
  • 3400 Floyd Avenue Richmond, Virginia - The Museum District
Floyd Avenue was repaved back in mid-December, but the city never came back to paint the lane markings. This causes confusion as to where the lanes are and drivers tend to drive in the middle of the road causing unsafe conditions.

2900 Ellwood Avenue Richmond, Virginia - The Museum District
There are many large potholes in the alley between Floyd and Ellwood at the 2900 block. The alley needs to be re-graded and more gravel needs to be laid down
  • 812 W 29th St Richmond, VA - Woodland Heights
In the upper alley behind the 800 block of W 29th St. there has been serious erosion. First there was a dumping issue and some debris was permitted to accumulate without my knowledge on the tree/hill side of the upper alley. The alley was muddy and eroded. The fence is broken down and there is now erosion on the hill, endangering a large tree and the stability of the slope. The erosion needs to be corrected, the fence repaired to prevent further damage, and the alley maintained better.
  • 2609 W Main Street Richmond, Virginia - The Fan
I recently noticed that the City has scheduled for removal 2 trees on the 2600 block of W Main , the South side, one of the trees is leaning, but the other tree is perfectly healthy and provides shade as well as attractiveness for the block. As the owner of 2609 W Main, I would appreciate if the tree could be pruned instead of removed. Those of us on the block are working hard to upgrade the entire block by taking care of the tree wells, planting flowers in them and watering the trees. We would appreciate recognition of this effort by the City rather than destruction of what we are doing. This is a very busy restaurant block and it needs to project a beautiful image rather than a run down one simply for the PR of the city Please tell those of us what the city is doing to IMPROVE the block, other than cutting down trees.
  • 1512 West 45th St Richmond, Virginia - Forest Hill

Three of the last four evenings, I noticed opossum on my lot acting strangely. The adjacent lot at 1512 is overgrown especially in the rear creating potential habitat for opossum, skunks, snakes, rats etc.

Out of concern that such animals - especially those I've noticed in the last week - might have rabies, the overgrown vegetation and shrubbery needs pruning, downed tree limbs removed, inoperable lawn equipment removed, "weed" trees removed, and the grass maintained at levels appropriate for a residential neighborhood. Other neighbors have asked the owner to keep her property properly maintained with little lasting success. It appears the owner is now only a part-time resident of the property.
