Notified About

  • 444 Alabama St Vallejo, CA 94590, USA - Vallejo
This building has a garbage being piled up all over. It also has a fence all around it that is falling apart and restricts passage on the sidewalk. The neighborhood fears walking by this building thinking the rickety fence might fall on them or thier children. The building is not being kept up and is a blight on the community that surrounds it.
  • 20 Ohio St Vallejo, CA 94590, USA - Vallejo
Today's snapshot of the growing pile at the end of Ohio. The bed frame has been there a long time. Other items are more recent. Car part, mirror, etc
  • 750 Branciforte Street Vallejo, California - Vallejo
The optimistic owner of this vacant lot, corner of Branciforte & Ohio, put up official-looking signs: "PLEASE KEEP THIS AREA CLEAN". They also installed a single Recycling Bin with a less-official-looking: "TRASH HERE". Of course, people obliged, and pretty soon the bin was full. Unfortunately the property owner had made no provision to have the bin emptied. So now the bin is overflowing, and the area around is filling up with other boxes and sacks of trash. Can someone please: (A) haul away this trash, and (B) inform the property owner that Recology do not routinely empty every bin they pass on the street, and never empty a Recycling bin filled with trash.

How long ago was it that Code Enforcement replied that they'd opened a case file on this eyesore? Any progress yet?
  • 400 Florida Street Vallejo, California - Vallejo

I've passed this truck tire, leaning against the fence at the intersection of Santa Clara and Florida Street, on my way to the Farmers Market, every weekend for months. I've often wondered why a smart City employee, going to work at City Hall, a couple blocks away on Santa Clara, or a keen-eyed Code Enforcement Officer on the way to their headquarters, a couple blocks away on Florida, didn't call in, and have it collected. But I guess they all adhere to the classic civil service doctrine of: "If nobody's complaining, the it's better to turn a blind eye."

O.K., so I'll report it: There is a large truck tire resting against a fence at the intersection of Santa Clara and Florida Streets. Please can someone come and haul it away. Thanks

Who says you couldn't dump a full-size shipping container in the middle of a modern American city without stirring up a prime ruckus -- well they were wrong. This container continues its month's long tenure as the largest lawn ornament in town.
