Please put a garbage container on the left side where the stop sign is at the corner on Jones and North State Streets. The one there has been taken down
  • 1002 East Jones Street Raleigh, North Carolina - North Central
The now empty lot on East Jones already was cleared of houses and when the tornado went through, the broken and damaged trees were cut down and taken. Now there are many FULL GROWN TREES in GOOD condition that are an irreplaceable ASSET to the property and to the community look and ecology marked with orange Xes . PLEASE do NOT TAKE these trees! This neighborhood has suffered enough and as a homeowner here and also a builder I know the value of the landscape and especially in mature shade producing plantings. These trees are not infringing on any property and they certainly could be protected and worked around when the time comes to build dwellings. They are NOT the issue in the criminal activity that happens here and they signifigently add to the appeal and actual natural climate amelioration in this community. I am at this time lodging a protest to any plan to remove those trees and there is no proposal of replanting new trees that would be acceptable as i know it is impossible to replace a landscape plant of size and purpose and there is also no care to insure the health and growth forthcoming for future plantings in any local property city owned or private.. Please send this to City council woman Mary Ann Baldwin and representative Eugene Weeks and all others that could take an interest in an area that needs help. The City Landcape and Maintenance department needs to re assess m what is happening and the builders in this area should be m,andated to keeping not just "restoring" a planting that offers shade, OXYGEN , and cultural and aesthetic benifit for the p[resent and future residents of our city. and home. Thankyou greatly.
  • N Tarboro St Raleigh, NC - North Central

Along Tarboro Street in the block between Edenton & New Bern, the entire block is littered with at least ten signs on a single block.

Of all of these signs, they were all done by two people:

    Kevin Hargrave
    BFS Credit Repair
    1416 Park Ave
    Fernandina Beach, Fl 32034

    Jack & Theresa Koenig
    6720 Fawn Hoof Trail
    Holly Springs, NC 27540

Hargrave has opened quite a few shops promising to repair credit as fast as the FTC can shut him down... Koenig advertises himself as @Hoodlord on Twitter.

All upstanding individuals who should deserve every fine the city throws at them for violating sign ordinances.

  • Edenton And Mcdowell Raleigh - North Central
    Dumpster blocking sidewalk.
  • 408 Capital Boulevard Raleigh, North Carolina - North Central
I routinely drive by this dilapidated building on the right side of Capital when leaving downtown and am disgusted by its appearance. The other day, I stopped for the first time to check out what the newly painted shop was. It was then that I discovered the overhang of the other parts of the strip mall literally falling apart over people's potential heads. This is right in front of the scooter shop and some other place. How on Earth is this to code/safety standards? This whole strip needs to be shut down until renovated and made safe or demolished!
  • 127 E Edenton Street Raleigh, NC - Blount Corridor
I am on the needs assistance garbage pickup list- totally handicapped. I live on the corner of Blount and Edenton Streets in the only structure on the block. My garbage has always been collected on the Blount Street side, on Friday- and my recycling is collected on the Edenton Street front porch also on Friday. Since the computer started routing collectors we miss collections every other weeks- since last summer. My daughter and I have called and written at least 12 times. Now there is two and a half weeks of garbage flowing out of my can on the Blount Street side. Please help me.

  • 100-198 Polk Street Raleigh, NC 27604, USA - North Central
Developer cut down 100 year old tree in addition to smaller maple trees. I thought larger trees were protected? How can we be the city of oaks if we allow big trees to be cut down?
  • 537-541 East Edenton Street Raleigh, North Carolina - North Central

When lane lines on E Edenton was repainted, they didn't take into account the fact that the right lane allows parking. They're all equally wide.

Compare that to New Bern Ave, where the leftmost lane (the one that includes parking) is nearly double the width of the other two lanes.

Can anything be done to correct that? I've seen several cars with damage over the past few months.
