Notified About

  • 1-7 W Peace St Raleigh, NC 27605, USA - North Central
Folks have gotten lax about taking the right turn from eastbound Peace to southbound Salisbury from 7-9 am. If the city has an interest in keeping the sign, some renewed enforcement might be in order.
  • 1019 E Jones St Raleigh, NC - North Central
This is an embarassment and a health hazard. yesterday i took some new St Augustine's University students home after showing them some of Raleigh. They were uncomfortable when they saw the slum conditions of the State St and Jones street houses near the Tarboro rd Community Center ( where voting will take place) My house is on North State St, and already I have had people indicate they were afraid to visit us and shocked by the filth that has been left there for most of the summer. The city policy is obviously not serving the citizens, I do not care if a "housing case" has been filed, ( weeks ago now) it is horrible to be made to live near this health hazard of rats with fleas, flies, parasites, and waste. the garbage consists of household items left in the weather and food garbage, bottles cans yard waste, mattress, etc. Children live and play in and around this mess, and it stinks. Everyday people add to the garbage. Now the across the street house has put out a pile of furniture and garbage in bags, i have watched the garbage collectors and all kinds of city of raleigh public works trucks and crews pass all of this by many many times, the inspection protocol and RESPONSE needs to change, this is a travesty. I would like a tax rebate in lieu of how much de-valued my properties have become from the neighborhood conditions being a festering sore. This summer the crime on North State St. has been continuous and it is apparent that the economic real value of this are does not match the assessed basis of our tax bills. .My family has been subjected to living near this squalor long enough. Step up to the responsibility and have this cleaned up. Start enforcing what's on the streets and important instead of nit picking, Broken TVS are Toxic, Broken glass= hospital time, Rats lead to rabies, and worse. TAKE CARE OF THIS NOW! I don't want to explain to another college student who has come to NC that St AUGUSTINES is in a ghetto that nobody cares about! This junk is dragging our whole city down one neighborhood at a time.
  • 600-698 Monroe Drive Raleigh, North Carolina - North Central

I live around the corner from Oakwood Park and have two issues with the park.

    1. Many of the dog owners who visit this park seem to be law-abiding, respectful citizens. However, a few bad apples spoils the whole bunch. Several people refuse to follow the basic rules of the park. On a daily basis, I see dog owners who just open their car door and let their dog(s) run free through the parking lot as they follow behind them, walking to the gate. It is not the dog's fault, but an excited dog will often sprint up to me as I am walking my young daughter through the park. These owners need to leash their dogs until they are inside the park. Speaking of inside the park, many owners do not even GO inside, opting instead for the openness and freedom of the softball fields. I guess these are the kind of carefree spirits who believe that nothing else matters when they are throwing a frisbee with Fido. Who cares if the neighborhood children have to fight with entitled dog owners when they want to use the park, or if softball/kickball players have to dive through piles of dog puke and poop? This is ridiculous and selfish.

    2. At night, this spot is a popular spot to go park with a prostitute and/or do some drugs. I have seen condoms (at least they use condoms, I guess...), crackpipes, broken bottles and other signs of late night mischief. In my opinion, anybody within this parking lot after dark should get a visit from the RPD. The signs clearly state that the park closes at dusk.

I can't be the only one who feels this way....

Please, PLEASE, tell us how to address these issues.

--Concerned citizens tired of picking up poop and condoms

  • New Bern Place Raleigh, NC - Blount Corridor
All of New Bern Place has burned out or nearly burned out street lights. The City has responsibiltiy in the cul de sac where Haywood Hall is. NCDOT has responsibility for the ones near SECU and Christ Church. Please help get these maintained! It is a mugging waiting to happen on these dark nights.
  • Intersection Of West St. & N. Street Raleigh, NC - North Central
When approaching this intersection on W. North from the east, it is almost impossible to look for incoming traffic coming from either the north or south direction on N West Street because of parked cars. The parking sign should be moved at least one car length further from the intersection to improve the line of sight.
  • Litter Archived

  • 114 St Aug Raleigh, NC - North Central
The people in the green house at the corner of St Augustine and Jones I believe it is #114 play music every single night so loud you you hear a half a block away in the house with the windows closed....
  • 901 E Edenton St Raleigh 27601, United States - North Central
    Garbage strewn on the property.
  • 501-603 North Salisbury Street Raleigh, North Carolina - North Central

    ALL ROUTES Downtown?

Not all routes pass this stop.

Raleigh has the worst bus signage in the United States.

  • 377-399 North Tarboro Street Raleigh, NC 27610, USA - North Central
Illegal parking causing traffic nightmare during evening hours.
  • 301-307 N Blount St Raleigh, NC, 27601, USA - Blount Corridor
There is a lack of crosswalk signaling here in North/South-bound directions. We have East/West for crossing Blount, but nothing to signal when it is safe to cross Lane.
  • 707 North West Street Raleigh, NC - North Central
Currently there is a crosswalk light if you are crossing east but not west on this intersection. Crossing West St heading west, it is difficult to know when it is safe to cross due to the extra lanes converging and the amount of traffic on Peace Street. Crossing West during high traffic times feels quite unsafe.
