Pulaski Park and surrounding areas. Area is similar to northern portion of Ward 1B and includes: Mater Dolorosa, Pizza D'Action, The Wherehouse, 202 Rotary, Open Square, Echo Hill Townhouses, Robert E. Barrett Fishway, St. Patty's Day Road Race Starting Line, and two bridges over the 1st and 2nd level of the Canal.

    I ask this almost every year. Why is it when Pulaski Park is mown the grass around the trees, benches, and light poles is always left. There is a very visible difference.

    Profanity! This vandalism to the sidewalk at the entrance of Pulaski Park at Maple St needs to be cleaned before school starts. This is right in front of Mayer Dolorosa School.

    The same area that has been flooding during super heavy rain storms is now an Ice/Slush/Water mix. It was several inches deep across the end of St Kolbe going out into Lyman St. Not sure if the drain needs to be cleared or what but it needs to be looked out.

    The sidewalks in the area around Prospect Heights are in serious need of repair. There are elderly people who walk this area and the sidewalks are a danger to them. I have seen people walking in Chestnut St to avoid the damaged sidewalk.

    I visited this park for the first time yesterday 9/28/14. I was struck by the potential for this space as its so wonderfully located and designed. Unfortunately the park was full of trash, and the stone memorial to Casimir Pulaski was horribly overgrown and untended. I didn't notice if the benches were fixed but I will go back and take pics of these issues and post them now that I have found this site. How disappointing it was to see this as I am a proud Polish American and a resident of Holyoke and appreciate it's numerous historic, well kept urban public spaces.
