Notified About

  • 1800 - 1900 Wynnewood Rd Philadelphia, PA 19151, USA - Morris Park
Many people walk their dogs around the perimeter of Overbrook School for the Blind. There are quite a few mostly with large dogs who do not pick up after them even though the $300 fine signs are posted. The fine is not enforced and calling them out has not helped. The students at the school are taught to navigate with their canes around the school. This is entirely unacceptable. 2 young men walk their pitbulls one white dog & one dark around 9-10 AM and 7-8 PM AND NEVER PICK UP AFTER THEM.

  • 1008 N. 64th Street Philadelphia, PA - Morris Park
1008 N. 64th Street is a twin house with a driveway along its south side. This driveway is clogged with non-working automobiles, with flat tires and other damage, and the driveway and backyard are generally overgrown. The driveway adjoins the next-door property's driveway and thus for this and a host of other reasons the items there present a safety and aesthetic hazard. Please fine this property based upon the several violations of city code visible here. Will post a photo as soon as possible.
  • Roof collapsed Acknowledged
5052 Walnut St. Philadelphia, USA - Cobbs Creek
The roof of this abandoned apartment complex has collapsed.
  • 6000 Chestnut St Philadelphia, PA - Cobbs Creek

The lights on Chestnut and Walnut used to be timed so that, if one travelled at the speed limit, you would get nothing but green lights from 69th street to City Hall at 15th Street. It eliminated traffic jams and allowed people to make a 54 block trip in about 10 minutes.

At least on Sunday mornings for the last few years, the lights have been out of sync. You have to stop for a red light every third block. This creates gridlock and unnecessary traffic. It also consumes much more gas than would be necessary if the lights were timed.

The lights on Chestnut and Walnut need to be re-timed at regular intervals to make the trip into the city a much more pleasant experience for everybody.

  • 1023 Marlyn Rd Philadelphia, PA - Morris Park
2 doors away from us, the neighbors' sewer line is leaking. There is feces and toilet paper running over the curb and into the street. There are children and pets in the area that are coming into contact with this mess. We called L&I, the water department, the health department, the streets department and our city councilman. This has been going on for about 3 months with no fix being done. We have been told so many rediculous things such as "it's not a problem if you don't sitck your face in it" "it happens to everyone in the city". We have also been told by the water department that the water service will be shut off to the house. We were told this many times starting about a month ago but this has not been done. We also have spoken with the neighbor and we got threatened by them.
With the weather getting warmer it is beginning to smell like a sewer along the sidewalk.
In addition to it being plain nasty, I know, as a Microbiologist, that there is a problem with someone possibly getting sick without "sticking their face in it" as we were told.
Is there any agency who cares?
This is not the first time we have had issues with these departments.
