Chicken pen Archived70-104 Post Office Road Enfield, CT 06082, USA - polytestI thought housing live chickens was prohibited by Enfield town ordinances when the property is not concerned or zoned as a farm property. This residential home is breeding/housing chickens which seems unsafe and a hazard to public welfare.

Corner Of Pease St And Garden St Enfield, CT - polytest
Tis the season... Weather getting nice, so the dealers are out for a buck. There were three men and one woman that came down Pease and met near the corner, traded money and merchandise, and then split up. One of them got picked up by a MA-plate white ford pickup, and dropped off in the same spot about two minutes later(with a parting fist bump... Nice touch).
I did see some boots on the street a few minutes earlier... Obviously the Enfield PD was on to them, but the officer ended up walking down Garden (probably trying not to get made). Better luck next time. :(
If the PD wants to start patrolling the area more actively... I'll make them cookies and coffee. Whatever it takes to not have another summer of constant drug driveways and creepy addicts peddling their wares.

Speeding ArchivedTown Farm Road Enfield, Connecticut - polytestWhile at the Dog Park off Town Farm Rd. there were ATV's and dirt bikes speeding up and down the entrance road. I took the dog to the hill across the road where people hit golf balls and the same people were racing up and down the hill with no concern for anyone there. Are motorized vehicles allowed there? It was 4Pm or so.

Safety Sight Line Problem ArchivedIntersection Of Sword Avenue & Connecticut Avenue Enfield, Connecticut - polytest
I have previously reported on the following issue for the past three years. Once again the summer is coming to an end and this problem has not been resolved. The sight line at the corner of Sword Avenue and Connecticut Avenue is not safe due to a high flower garden at the house on the corner of Sword and Connecticut Avenue. Also the vegetation around the Sword Avenue bridge is also a problem. The vegetation has been trimmed back once this year but has begun to grow back. As far as the wild flowers they are right up against the roadside curb. I would think that there must be a town right of way to keep a streets sight line visible without having to drive out into the street to see if you are clear to move on. This is a hazard for our neighborhood children, residents and autos. I am dismayed that my previous complaint on this exact same issue would be closed out without proper resolution. I also placed a phone call to Matt Coppler our town manager and left my concerns on his voicemail. This was approximately 5 days ago and I have not received a response of any kind.
In addition to the above issue and in the same area is the condition of both sides of the street where you round the corner on Connecticut Avenue to the intersection of Sword Avenue. There are trees growing on the road itself as well as severe overgrowth of vegetation onto both sides of Connecticut Avenue. It looks like a jungle.
I find it very sad that after three years this cannot be resolved. I also do not appreciate our town manager Matt Coppler's lack of response! I would hope our not so cheap property taxes could be utilized to eradicate this very simple issue. Once again thank you for your time and I look forward to a full and final resolution to these problems.
