My house is adjacent to a buffer zone. I have extreme flooding in the back yard. I spoke to the association president regarding the flooding. During a walk through the neighbor I noticed my neighbor had cut down trees and shrubs in the buffer zone. The neighbor's house face Weymouth Road.
This area of moody road is horrible to drive on. I see other roads that are nowhere near as bad being repaired. also Somers rd is very very poor. real damage is happening to cars traveling on these roads.
Individuals posing as homeless persons appear daily in the area of exit 47/CT 190 - they are leaving trash and debris everywhere on the ground which is terrible for the environment. I reached out to the Enfield Facebook page for feedback and one person said "Go look UNDER those overpasses. My girlfriend and I walk by there all the time and there’s always trash, used needles, empty takeout containers, we’ve even seen just random clothes strewn about. It’s pretty gross and sad." What can be done about this? I have lived in the area for 20 years and can never remember a situation being this bad in Enfield. I am extremely concerned about the environmental impact of all the trash and debris being thrown on the ground.
