Notified About

  • 1430 Enfield Street Enfield, CT - polytest
Totally not acceptable from the USPS. This location was visited in the last week and I was very appalled when I walked in. The SMELL, the ancient interior, dirty and small conditions. No wonder why I see very few cars and the hours are very limited. Is this building up to code on the electrical, building standards, public safety, etc...? Interesting floors. Even though the only ones who may appreciate this condition are the 'centurions', why is this in such disarray when the postal service is claiming money issues. Close this one if it cannot be brought up to date. It will probably cost less. I do not think that any one is looking for a working, smelly museum in Enfield, CT right now...

What is status of SCF #632262. Issue was closed but it doesn't appear as if anything has changed.Line of sight issue still exists!
  • 2-4 Ann Street Enfield, Connecticut - polytest
It's difficult to drive onto Steele Rd. from Ann St. because bushes or trees on both sides of the street are blocking the view. There's a lot of pedestrian traffic here and I'm concerned that this is a dangerous situation. Thank you for looking into this matter. LMJ
  • 38 Roosevelt Blvd Enfield, CT - polytest
Dump truck and another truck with a large boom (up on blocks) in back yard. Boom can be seen from some distance. These items have been parked here often. Often other trucks noted on this property as well

20-38 Hazard Avenue Enfield, Connecticut - polytest
Is there going to be anything going into the old building or is it just going to stay abandoned like a bunch of other places around town?

11 Ellis Rd Enfield, CT - polytest
This truck has been sitting in this person front yard for over 6 months now and doesn't look to be registered. It is an absolute eye sore. Is there any way you can have them move it to their backyard or get rid of it?
  • Chicken pen Archived
70-104 Post Office Road Enfield, CT 06082, USA - polytest
I thought housing live chickens was prohibited by Enfield town ordinances when the property is not concerned or zoned as a farm property. This residential home is breeding/housing chickens which seems unsafe and a hazard to public welfare.
  • Enfield Enfield, Connecticut - polytest

The issue was closed two weeks ago noting that a violation was found. Last year this happened and the property was only cleaned once over the year. It looks to be on the same path.

When will it be followed up on again? The grass has to be over 2 feet tall at this point and the plaza practically looks abandoned in the middle of a residential neighborhood.

It's disheartening to drive by this every single day.

  • Enfield High School Enfield, CT - polytest
The sign for Enfield High / Head Start is not only generally dirty, but has also been sprayed with 'silly string'.
  • 41 Sharren Lane Enfield, Connecticut - polytest
It has come to my attention that this residence has backyard chickens. However, the chicken aren't the problem, the size of the pen is. It seems much too small for the number they have. Also, their American Flag in the front of their house is very damaged.
  • Corner Of Pease St And Garden St Enfield, CT - polytest

Tis the season... Weather getting nice, so the dealers are out for a buck. There were three men and one woman that came down Pease and met near the corner, traded money and merchandise, and then split up. One of them got picked up by a MA-plate white ford pickup, and dropped off in the same spot about two minutes later(with a parting fist bump... Nice touch).

I did see some boots on the street a few minutes earlier... Obviously the Enfield PD was on to them, but the officer ended up walking down Garden (probably trying not to get made). Better luck next time. :(

If the PD wants to start patrolling the area more actively... I'll make them cookies and coffee. Whatever it takes to not have another summer of constant drug driveways and creepy addicts peddling their wares.
