Notified About

  • 75-83 Lakeside Dr Ridgefield, CT 06877, USA - US Congressional District CT4
Lakeside Drive and Lakeside Drive Extension is one giant pothole! PLEASE put this road on the town's paving list! We've been asking for 10 years!
  • 2-10 Copps Hill Rd Ridgefield, CT 06877, USA - US Congressional District CT4
Drivers going westbound on Copps Hill Road fail to come to a complete stop at the intersection of Copps Hill and North Street (right in front of John Frey's house), or they stop all the way out in the middle of the street. They obstruct the flow of traffic going along North Street. When headed south on North Street and making a left onto Copps Hill, there is frequently a driver out in the road, forcing one to make a wide maneuvering turn around the vehicle in the intersection.
  • 163 Limekiln Road - US Congressional District CT4
Cars go down limekiln at about 50 mph. Maybe a speed bump or some speed traps can slow these drivers down. Update: with route 7 finished, now Limekiln raceway is open each morning between 6:45 and 9am.
  • Route 35 And Fox Hill Entrance Ridgefield CT 06877, USA - US Congressional District CT4
Increasingly aggressive drivers on route 35 do not slow down to let residents out of Fox Hill Condo exits. Need traffic light, and more enforcement of speed limit. I have waited for 10 minutes to get out of Fox Hill Drive.
  • 186-228 Danbury Rd Ridgefield, CT 06877, USA - US Congressional District CT4

We have a wonderful rec center and many people enjoy it. Quite amazing there is no left turning lane on Danbury Road North so that trough traffic can pass waiting cars unhindered. I mean people that make these decisions live in town right? Unfortunately many drivers don't know they should line up against the median when waiting to make a left turn so that others may squeeze by on the right. This really reduces passing space to just the bare minimum. Certainly not enough for even small trucks.

Someone has noticed that people try to pass on the right hand side because they've 'helpfully' placed steel reflective obstacles in the shoulder. I understand we don't want the grass trampled but how about truly fixing the problem by adding a few feet of asphalt?

I think it would make the intersection safer in general as people waiting to make a left turn will be less likely to make a turn when it's not appropriate as they no longer feel pressure from the cars lining up behind them.

    Thanks for considering.

  • Speed Hump Archived
57 Crest Rd Ridgefield, CT 06877, USA - US Congressional District CT4
The speeding is ridiculous on Bennetts Farm Road near the first entrance of Crest. That is where our bus stop is and the cars do not slow down when all the kids are waiting for the bus. We have all discussed that a "Speed Hump" would do wonders.
  • 55-99 North St Ridgefield, CT 06877, USA - US Congressional District CT4
Many people don't stop at the stop sign at Copps Hill and North St.They think everyone turns right onto Copps Hill and they pull out right in front of you as you proceed on North St.
  • 191 Main St Ridgefield, CT 06877, USA - US Congressional District CT4
Huge crater just on the CT side of the boarder.
  • Farmingville Road Ridgefield, CT 06877, USA - Ridgefield
Speeding continues on Farmingville and Blackman Roads. The streets have no sufficient lights and no sidewalks. Evening hours and morning hours when people jog and walk on the streets are dangerous. Perhaps the town could invest in putting a sidewalk along Farmingville for the community.
  • 2 Ridgewood Rd Ridgefield, CT 06877, USA - Ridgefield
  • Blue Ridge Rd And Barrack Hill Ridgefield, CT 06877, USA - US Congressional District CT4
Very dangerous coming from top of Barrack Hill Road.
At 4 way stop with Blueridge the person coming from top of Barrack Hill has to pull all the way into the intersection blindly. Bushes are planted in an L around stopsign and are very overgrown!
  • 44-98 Wilton Rd E Ridgefield, CT 06877, USA - Ridgefield
The speed limit on this road is 25 mph, and the majority of the cars go 35-45 mph making it very dangerous for walkers.
