Notified About

  • Parks Request Archived
Fort Wooster Park 959 Townsend Ave, East Haven, CT, 06512, USA - Annex
The mulch in the playground is dangerously low. It has not been replaced in years. As you can see, it is 6 inches BELOW the minimum height requirement as noted on the playground equipment. There is CONCRETE under some of this equipment and kids are hurting themselves. The last batch of mulch that was delivered was about 4 years ago and was barely enough to cover the area. It was dumped next to the slides and that was it. Myself and a neighbor raked it into the area. The Parks Dept. needs to take care of this themselves (including the raking) before a child is seriously injured and they have a big lawsuit on their hands.

This light used to work fine. Now it's often red for traffic coming off I-95 and green for the usually empty road coming up from the Gateway Terminal.
  • 61 Warrick Street New Haven, CT - Annex

The Dumpster at 61 Warrick is overflowing again. There are trash bags on the ground...soon to be all over the neighborhood. A Refrigerator with the doorsstill on has been added to the trash pile at the end of the driveway. A dog pen of sorts has been constructed in the front yard of the building. There is constant barking. Not the dogs fault!

These are Quality of life issues which impact our neighborhood greatly.

  • Townsend Ave And Main St New Haven Connecticut - Annex

Cars turn right onto Townsend Ave when the light is red, even though there is a "No Turn On Red" sign there. The sign is set too far back from the intersection, and cars turning right on red there cause accidents on a very regular basis, as well as nearly hitting pedestrians all the time.

The "No Turn on Red" sign needs to be posted on the same pole as the signal light, just like it is on the corner of Main and Woodward (1 block away). Also more police need to take notice of these violators. There are patrol cars frequently sitting in the lot of the Shell Station on the corner, but they never seem to pull over drivers who violate this regulation.

Near this location when you are coming out of the road where Car Max and Hyundia Dealerships are, the stop sign is down.
This was called into the police
Sign pole should be buried into the ground to prevent this from happening
  • 168 Beacon Ave New Haven CT 06512, United States - Annex

Been trying for 10+ years to get this property cleaned up. Property is owned by Housing Authority.

We got them to come out once to survey it. They moped around, picked up a few sticks, lef and never came back.

It's become a veritable ecosystem in our own back yard. Rats, raccoons, skunks, possums, and even deer! The rats invaded our house and our neighbors' houses. We had to hire an exterminator and buy traps..
By the time spring is in bloom, this will be overrun again.

Enough. Clean it before we sue.
