  • Farren Ave And Fulton St New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Annex

There's always a group of four or more men outside the store on the corner of Farren and Fulton. Cars actually stop in traffic to buy drugs. These guys harass pedestrians, ride motorbikes on the sidewalk, and generally dominate the intersection. They dealers are almost always flying gang colors. They slowed down for the winter, but they're back out slinging now that the weather has warmed up.

    I'll post pictures ASAP.

Air quality in the city of New Haven is deplorable and has a severe impact on the health and quality of life of our residents. Despite the fact that New Haven already hosts more than its fair share of air polluting facilities, PSEG, the utility company who owns and operates Harbor Station, is seeking to build three new units as peaking power plants to be used when energy demand exceeds base-load supply. These plants will add pollution to our air in days when air quality is already at its worst: long hot sunny days when demand is high due to air conditioning and other uses. However, a net reduction in polluting emissions can be achieved from the site: the existing Harbor Station plant (Unit 1) runs primarily on oil. The three proposed, more modern, gas-fueled turbines are state-of-the art and run much more cleanly and efficiently than Unit 1. In addition, because of a new environmental justice law, the company has been talking to the city about a community benefits agreement that would address the true impact of their activities on our community. Please sign the petition to demand that Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) commit to reduce polluting emissions from the totality of their Harbor Station operations and thus help improve the quality of the air in New Haven, CT.

five calls have been made to the emergency operations center to get a timeline when the streets in this area are going to be plowed. they have no schedule from public works. it would seem that someone has a schedule of streets to be plowed and that it would be available to the city's spokes people. each call get a response to call back for a timeline. B.S.! the mayor and his new dpw director have failed this test. this is like Irene when people in the block of beacon ave were without electricity for seven days because ui forgot about us. coincidentally the lower half of beacon av was plowed the first morning by a Elm City Communities truck and that operator completely blocked beacon av from frost st with the leavings of his efforts, SO, where is a response from this city.

The back yard of this property desperately needs to be cleaned up. There are fallen trees, remnants of a pool, over grown grass and has become dumping ground. There is also the potential to have unwelcome critters living back there. Recently, there have been many dead birds in our yard. We maintain our property and do not want to have this as our view from our background.
