Anne Arundel County Executive

Notified About

  • Creekside Village Blvd & Marley Neck Blvd Glen Burnie, MD, 21060, USA - Anne Arundel County, MD

    Hello,

I am writing this letter as a resident of Creekside Village to bring to your attention a very serious situation. At the intersection of Creekside Village Blvd & Marley Neck Blvd, the number of accidents or near accidents have risen to alarming levels.

The entrances & exits of Creekside Village have become a severe danger to the safety of both drivers and residents in this community. Daily, we witness near accidents that could potentially claim the life of our residents. It is apparent that the problem lies with a lack of a traffic light and speeding vehicles on Marley Neck Blvd.

In order to circumvent future injuries and fatalities, I am requesting that a traffic light be installed at the intersection of Marley Neck Blvd & Creekside Village Blvd. As you can appreciate, I’m very anxious to see this dealt with quickly.

I hope that my message will be heard and that the severity of this situation will be recognized by your department. Thank you for looking into this matter. I remain hopeful of your timely and positive response.

    Respectfully,
    Julie

  • Pothole Acknowledged
1300-1398 Concourse Dr Linthicum Heights, MD, 21090, USA - US Congressional District MD3
There are a series of potholes on Concourse Drive in front of the Embassy Suites Hotel that should be repaired before they get any worse.
  • 876 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard Severna Park Maryland - Severna Park

There is a leak in the roadway. It was "repaired" during the summer. Then there was a giant pothole that was repaired. But the leak continues.

    It's probably 100's if not 1000's of gallons/day

Concern is twofold. What is happening below (think sinkhole)? What will happen this winter when the road starts to freeze (it will be a giant sheet of ice)?

  • 8139 Ritchie Hwy Pasadena, Maryland - Pasadena

The BJ’s wholesale cub continues night after night to violate the Anne Arundel County nighttime noise ordinance.

The issues occur almost every night but seem to be particularly bad between Monday and Thursday. The unloading of trucks in the middle of the night causes extreamly loud noises between 10pm and 5am. Noise levels are high enough that on occasion will cause my house to shake. The loading and unloading of trucks is in addition to the frequent horn blowin, dumpster emptying and truck idling that occurrs between 10pm and 5am. I can’t not emphasize enough how regular and illegal this behavior is.

We have called the police and so far no progress has been made.

I didn’t make the zoning laws but I expect both businesses and individuals to follow them.

    Please help.

  • 2708 Hamils Ct Crofton, Maryland - Crofton
My neighbor had the police show up last week at her son's HS grad party to turn their music down it was 11:10pm. Capital Raceway is so loud now I can't even sit on our porch!! We have been here 22 years and because of the new housing developments - lots of trees have been cut down and now the noise is just deafening! Crofton use to be a quiet area - not any more. Isn't there a noise curfew? If so the Raceway needs to abide by that. Is just not right.

  • 833 Selby Boulevard Edgewater, Maryland - Selby-on-the-Bay
Neighbor at 833 Selby is illegally dumping water in my yard, causing flooding. Spoke to neighbor yesterday, advised him according to the AA county representative that came out to inspect the issue that 833 Selby's sump pump is dumping water ILLEGALLY onto the road. The neighbor was unhelpful and uncooperative upon trying to amicably settle the flooding of my front and side yard.
  • 1708 Dryden Way Crofton, Maryland - Crofton
I live in the adjacent house (1710). We have bats entering our attic from 1708. We hired two contractors and each confirmed that the bats are coming from the attic of the vacant 1708 property. 1708 has been vacant for around two years. One of the contractors found a hole in the roof rake of 1708 which is the point of ingress for the bats into 1708's attic. They enter my attic through a hole in the firewall between our attics. I was told remediation of my attic is not possible until the bats are excluded from 1708 and the rake is fixed. Decisions regarding the property are being made by a bankruptcy trustee, Richard Kremen (410) 580-4191. I have confirmed the information after speaking to his colleague Regan Kreitzer La Testa, who is assisting him on this matter. She can be reached at (410)580-4809. My direct attempts to get remediation done to 1708 have been unsuccessful. I am concerned for the health and safety of my wife and small children. Thank you for any assistance you can provide and please let me know if you need any additional information.
  • Tanyard Springs Ln Glen Burnie, MD 21060, USA - Anne Arundel County, MD
Road is unlit and very dark. As a result, trash is being dumped back there and there is little visibility of the many deer that congregate along that part of the road. It is unsafe.
  • 1455 Ridgeway Arnold, Maryland - Arnold
This property has been under construction since the fall. In addition to a large hole filled with standing water, there is an abandoned RV, and a large pile of trash sitting just outside of it. This trash pile has a very unpleasant smell, and is attracting raccoons and other small mammals.
  • Hazard Open
766 207th Street Pasadena, Maryland - Green Haven
The listed location is a hoarding situation. They have junk everywhere, as well as several inoperable vehicles. There's chemicals laying around and many children live there. It's not a safe environment and all of the neighbors are tired of it. Many of us have contacted the health department and nothing is being done.
