Notified About

  • 562 Waverly St Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham

In front of St Tarcisius Church there is a crosswalk which many commuters use during rush hour. Now that it is dark in the evening and the crosswalk is poorly illuminated, drivers seldom stop for pedestrians and I have seen or been involved in several "close calls" in the last few weeks. Also, given the rush hour traffic that backs up on Waverly St, pedestrians often have to walk out in between stopped cars, making it less likely to be seen by someone coming the other way.

Until such time as a long-term solution (such as better lighting or a more prominent crosswalk treatment) is in place, can we at least get a vertical reflective marker that sits in the middle of the road so drivers are more aware of the crosswalk?

  • Corner Of Old Conn Path And Foster Drive Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham
When you drive down Foster Drive you come to Old Conn Path. When you come to a stop and look left it is difficult to see if cars are coming. This is because there are overgrown shrubs/trees growing over the street blocking your view.
  • 45 Eden Street Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham
It looks like an absentee landlord, tenants have trash and stuff under tarps. Old furniture.
  • 56 Belvidere Ave Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham
For the past few days I have noticed the the Traffic signal light at the corner of Concord Street and Gorman street no longer has a delay for people turning left. Ive almost been struck twice. What is going on with this light? There has ALWAYS been a delay in green for people traveling north.
  • 11 - 13 Pratt Street Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham
Please enforce trash collection policies for town service houses so trash does not continue to build up on downtown streets. 11-13 Pratt street has left their garbage out since the end of August, but they are a town house, not a privately owned property.

    Hello,

I am not sure to whom I should address this request, and I would appreciate knowing if I should be contacting someone else.

I would like for someone to install a collar or shield on the street light in front of our house. Since replacing the bulb with LEDs, the bright light leaks into our house at night, even though we have room-darkening blinds and even though we are set back from the road. I think that the light head is angled down in such a way that it shines towards our house as well as on to the street. I know other cities and towns have done this for residents, and I’m hoping that Framingham can do it as well.

It’s good to see that the Town is looking for ways to save money, including installing LED streetlights throughout Framingham. In fact, I have just recently replaced most of my incandescent bulbs in my own house to LED’s, so I know the benefits they offer. I also understand that many Police Departments prefer LED’s because they offer truer color fidelity and assist in identifying cars and suspects at night. However, there is also a quality of life and nuisance aspect to these new lights that must not be ignored. I am sure that with a collar or shield, all needs can be accommodated.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

    Jeff Kotkin

  • Amc Theatres Framingham Cinema 16 22 Flutie Pass, Framingham, MA, 01701, USA - Framingham
I went to see a movie last night in theater 5. While sitting in my seat I must have seen at least 5 different mice running around the theater under people’s seats. I am very concerned about the overall cleanliness of this establishment and the effect of rodent running around the theater while people are consuming food.
  • Concord And Beacon Sts Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham
The new white lines painted on Route 30 W. after it intersects with 126, right before Beacon Street, or very confusing. Is the right-hand lane now gone? An accident is going to happen when people try to turn right on Beacon from the left-hand side while others stay in what is clearly still a full lanes worth of road and try to turn right on Beacon.
  • Excessive speed Acknowledged
Elm Street Framingham, MA - Framingham
Can we change Elm St to Mass Pike since the speed level is rising daily with no police monitoring. Although a couple mornings this week I have seen a police officer. If you patrolled in the afternoon around 1:30 - 3:30 especially when school is getting out the speed actually shakes parked cars. I've called and left messages with no return back so please don't tell me to call anyone. No one responds!
  • 137b Winthrop Street Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham
Now that people are back from summer and school has started the traffic has ramped up once again on Winthrop street. Volumes are high and speed is higher. Drivers not only come in from Waverly street to avoid downtown, they come n from Bethany , Dow, and Mellen. Speed enforcement would greatly increase pedestrian and school children safety.
  • Pothole Archived
517 Worcester Road And Mclaughlin Street Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham
There is a large depression at the edge of McLaughlin Street, which is perpendicular to Rt. 9 behind the Dunkin Donuts. Also McLaughlin is in rough shape. This was previously reported a couple of weeks ago and the issue was closed with the comment that the problems were addressed. They aren't. The pothole was previously filled in some months ago, but the asphalt has sunk and is at least depressed half a foot, if not more, and quite large.
  • 20 Main St Framingham, Massachusetts - Framingham
I am a resident at 20 Main st. The majority of the night time road work on the sewers is taking place directly infront of my house. I understand that this is needed and the roads can't be worked on during the day, I just want to voice what we have been having to deal with every single work night for the entire summer. This isn't just some noise you can easily ignore. It's extremly loud, and the work they are doing shakes our entire house at times. I haven't slept on a work night in weeks. Literally. I have an 11 month old child that gets woken up and scared by the noises. It's just unbearable. We also have cones and large bumps at the end of our driveway, and a hose connected to our house, and construction workers walking through our yard to connect and disconnect the hose. This just is not right. Also there has been black sediment in the bottom of my sons tub every night, which I called and spoke to someone about and got no response.I feel as though the residents having to deal with this should be getting some sort of tax break, or at least payment to stay in a hotel if we choose. This is our home and I dread going to bed 5 nights per week. Please try to understand. Thanks
