Pratt Street barely passable Archived52 Pratt Street Hartford, Connecticut - DowntownIn summer months, cars can be parked along Pratt St (on the right), a car can be [illegally] double parked AND a car could still squeeze by these cars and make it down the street. Pratt has unplowed snow along the entire middle of the travel lane, parked cars barely allow for a single car to pass. This morning I watched a large tractor trailer inch down the street and barely make a left onto Main. Parking bans are not adhered to on this street, but even with that window of opportunity, a plow has yet to make a major pass down the road this season.

Street Sweeper (Spring to Fall) Archived330 Laurel St Hartford, Connecticut - Asylum HillThere are street sweeping and trash pickup hours from 7-1 on Thurs. Trash pickup is complete by 8 am and street sweepers never come. When they do, they come at odd, rare hours like 2 am on a Tuesday when cars are parallel parked legally.

Main St And Pearl Street Hartford, CT - DowntownPedestrians unable to cross streets due to lack of plowing to the curb/no walkways shoveled in crosswalks. Buses are dropping people off in the street and people are CLIMBING OVER SNOWBANKS to get to sidewalk and again to cross the street. As usual DPW fails to carry out routine duties.

Asylum Street Hartford, Connecticut - DowntownI want to get a hug pothole in the black asphalt sidewalk that run next to the train tracks in Bushnell Park fix. This hole has been there for years and every winter it fills with water and freezes creating a hug safety hazard. I've seen people in wheelchairs, baby strollers, and young children have trouble with this pothole. A lot of people use this walkway, even more now that flower street is closed to pedestrians, including kids walking to school. During winter it becomes filled with ice and takes a long time to melt and I've seen lots of people fall hard on it.

2-46 Pearl St Hartford, Connecticut - DowntownThis pic is from the corner of Main and Pearl, looking west down Pearl. From this vantage point you can't see any sign of the visitors center, and you surely aren't going to stumble on it by accident. Large signs are needed at this intersection and at the corner of Pearl and Trumbull pointing the way.
